my 2nd grow....

Subscribed. They look great, nice recovery from when they were small! Have you got flowering nutes for them yet? It's about time for them. Also - have you tried molassas at all? I use it on mine, one TBSP per gallon of water - supposed to help the buds bulk out, and give a slightly sweeter taste.:peace:

i have switched them to flowering nutes its a 10-30-20 mix. been using that since the day they went 12/12

i haven't tried molases... like the straight up molasses i can get from the grocery store? do i only hit them once, or every time i am feeding them, with that ratio of course?

is there any truth to throwing some vanilla extract in the mix a week or two before harvest to make them taste like vanilla (or what ever flavoring)? i have read that a few places

I haven't seen that about the vanilla, probably not would be my guess, or there would be a lot more vanilla flavored bud out there.
I use Grandma's Unsulphered Molassas from Wal-Mart, over by the pancake syrup. Yep One TBSP per gallon of water and I do it every 2/3 waterings. You can do that all the way through, even after you stop the nutes last two weeks before harvest. Mental note, it will drop your PH by around 0.3, not a problem for me since mine is 6.8 beforehand anyway - but just so you know.

i know its bad, but i've been ignoring the ph, completly. i have ph up/down but i haven't even check the level.... is that awful or just bad?

Since you aren't having problems, just bad, lol. I think it's more worrisome, the more stuff you give to the plants. I would maybe look to invest in a PH pen in the near future though - check ebay for the best prices, they can get rather expensive. Better to have it, if you run into a problem down the road, at least you can eliminate PH as the problem.

i actually do have a ph meter, just checked them, they are at like 7.5 whcih i know is on the high side, i;ll see what the molases does to the ph and let you know

Is it a chemical ph testing kit? If so they don't really read acurately with the molassas, because it changes the color of the water.

Oh I bought that one from Home Depot. Worked for a little while (like a month maybe) then quit working (reasonably sure my PH is not at 0)lol

haha yehah i saw it at home depot but i got it on ebay for like 3$ with shipping and its still working 6 months later so i can't complain!

ok! here we go! finally my second plant (cassie) is growing little white hairs. i'm still worried about her going hermie, so i'm checking everything constantly to make sure no balls.

first three is cassie with new sprouts,

rest are of lilly and her pretty pretty buds which are staring to get get frosty all over the leaves etc, i'm not sure if the camera picked it up, but it sure is awesome.

oh the solo cup in the middle is a new seed i decided to just go 12/12 from seed, because if cassie does stay female, she is going to be flowering for a long time from now, another something like 25 days because it took that long for her to flower,, i figured might as well try another seed 12/12 and see how it works.

Lookin good, I love how bushy your girls are!:-P

thank you!

so.... yeah! my girls are offically 4 weeks into flowering.

as you can see, lily is doing amazing, all her buds and trim around are all covered in crystals (yay for making hash also afterwards!!! haha)

cassie is def not a hermie, she is def a she. no boy parts, but she is growing much much slower than lily (3 weeks to start white hairs, vs 3 - 4 days on lily) so, i'm guessing its going to be a much longer flower time... at least i'm assuming, and i hope its not that cassie just wont really produce alot of bud, so i'm crossing my fingers.

so i figure lily is going to be done like 3 weeks before cassie, so i decided to start some seeds 12/12 in the corner, figure they could be done a week or two later after cassie, and had so many seeds figured why not try 12/12 from seed, so i have 4 of them going in solo cups, which i'm not going to bother transplanting at all, i'm just going to top or prune or just leave em alone depending, if they die, oh well whatever it's an experiment

Hey it's worth a try, you never know, you might be pleasantly suprised. Still lookin good!:weed:

:eyesmoke:

i love picture day!!

well, maybe another 5 - ten days till i start the flush on the biggest lady. as the second plant took about 3 weeks more to show sex than the first, the second plant is gonna be flowered for 3 weeks more or so.

lily, the bigger plant, is having some issues with her lower branches/buds. they are starting to turn lighter green then the top portions of the plant.

i posed this on the newbie forum, and was told they need more nitorgen as my flower mix is low in nitrogen (10-30-20), so i mixed in some of my vegging nuts, which are 30-10-10 to get some nitrogen boost. and i upped the nuts from 1/3 to 1/2 strngth.

the four seeds i started after the fact (about ten days ago or whatever) are doing real good.

they actually stretched the first four days or so, and were about 4 - 5 inches tall within the first week, so i took the whole bottom out of the solo cup to put the plant real deep and then just filled with soil up till the first set of leaves, so i'm guessing they will have a good root system

as i am just trying to go 12/12 from seed in solo cups, does anyone have any suggestions with these plants so i can keep them smaller, and so they don't get root locked in the solo cups?

i have seen others go full term in solo cups, so i know its possible, just don't know the technique behind it.

anyway, first 3 pics are of cassie, the lady that took longer to flower,

next four are of lily.
