When to collect pollen

So i have 3 females, 2 males, and an unknown.. I want to know when to collect the pollen from the sacks.. some sacks are open but i dont see any pollen.. it looks like a flower inside the ball sack... its been in there a week now and i dont want to fuck up my grow so ide like to do something tonight.. maybe kill one male and keep the other. or something... any advise is appreciated

If the sacks are open they released their pollen already.

Kinda depends on what you're trying to do - if your males are in the same area as your females, and the male flowers have opened, then your females (all of them) are already pollinated. If you still want pollen after that - there is a great thread here somewhere about the best way to collect pollen - I'll post a link to it if I can find it.

ive done alot of searching and it allways ends in confusion.... i have 3 females and would like to keep 2 of them virgins.. i thought i could snip off the nut sacks into a glass jar and keep it until my flowers got bigger.. i just want to polenate one piece of bud so i can have more lowrider seeds.... i keep the males on the other end of the grow... so that the fan will blow the pollen away from the females

thats how my setup is from left to right... if all else fails ill jus chop them down

That doesn't sound like a good idea. Im sure u have pollen flying all over that room now, get them out if its not to late. Take any pollen you want and jar it until you want to pollinate your female.

it doesnt work like that. you cant just pollenate one bud. if the pollen sacks are open then theres gonna be pollen airborne in your grow room. so all your virgins arent pure any more. the have been pollenated.

Yea probably if any of the seed pods are open, even if they aren't pollen can still leak out in small amounts.

To pollinate a single bud collect the seed pods in a jar when they are swollen, dry them out then break each one open. I use a Q-tip to sprinkle the pollen on the buds I want pollinated.

i cut two male plants down brought it out of the grow area and sniped the nut sacks off... ill do some more research from here... thanks guys
