I am dealing with the same exact issue and I come to realize if its anything over 3000 lumens per square foot your ok. I know the sun is like 10000 lumens per square foot on a hot summer day but not all of us have that much $$$ to put into lights. Also, try to get 1 bulb that is HPS/MH to keep a LITTLE bit of the blue spectrum. I have heard and seen a few rooms now that use 1 1000w HPS w/ 1 1000w HPS/MH and the results are very nice. I would take the lumens you have divide it by the square feet and see if your over 3000. Hope this helps
