I've just started smoking cigarettes. My girlfriend made me stop but I still bum the occasional one. I mainly smoke while I'm high, which has led to much thinking about cigarettes, and the tobacco industry.
If you think about it, the tobacco industry was one of the first companies in American history. EVER. Although everyone knows those facts about hemp growing and stuff, in the end, the tobacco industry won.
Today, cigarettes are a ti-billion dollar corporation. I don't want to sound like a conspiracy asshole, but I am a firm believer that America is truly governed by major corporations, including the tobacco industry. Whether this is true or not, it cannot be denied that the tobacco industry is still an American megacorp.
This being true, can you imagine how much science is behind modern cigarettes? All the chemicals and shit must be precisely measured based off of millions of dollars of research.
I don't know, just something to think about. I'm baked and this whole thing just took me 20 fuckin minutes to type because I'm spacing out so much.
