How big is your music collection?

Through downloading it has become really easy to collect "alot" of music, but what is alot?

i personally only have 8GB (2000 songs) of music that i acutally like and listen to.

a while ago i told everyone in my class to put their music on my external HD, i got 120GB (30'000 songs) together, within hours.
(most of it is crap, in my opinion)

How much music do you have, and in what form is it? (CDs, digital, etc.)

where do you download your music? limewire, torrents, or something diffrent? or do you buy music?

i've got about 100gb, but that includes rips of all the cds i own, which is in the region of 200-250 albums.

how much of that 100gb that i actually enjoy and listen to is probably fewer than 10,000 songs,
but i've got eclectic tastes and tend to horde music even if i'm not too into it.

used to buy music in the long long ago,
then i got into ripping all of other peoples' itunes to a portable harddrive; best method ever
now i'm doing a bit of torrenting but more often for films than for music.

gonna keep an eye on this thread though it'll be interesting to see how many proper tunejunkies there are on riu

I have about 2500+ songs on my Ipod. Those were loaded from my CD collection. I also have a lot of vinyl.

178 GB on External and 113 GB on computer waiting to be put on external. Yeah downloading got addicting. Used demonoid and isohunt. Used to use torrentspy but they're gone. I'll also use the search on Azureus. Limewire in the past

that the method im useing now, my collection grows by thousands every day

I have 7 gigs on one pc. 2 on another. stacks of old albums,tapes.cd's and even a few 8 tracks. I have albums that are made from slate. the very old 78 rpm guys. lol they were old when I was a kid.
