yes sir it will.

but its not nessecarily better.. sometimes one main cola = 8 small colas... but tbh i think topping deff. allows a higher yield overall.. but I am not that experienced so dun ask me.

Yeah I agree, the plant has a potential an can not pass that, but by keeping say 4 colas instead of one, the plant has less traveling to do from roots to buds and also that will allow better distribution of light. Lower buds become better seeing how they get more light.

If I where an outdoor grower I would never top/fim. But inside I believe in even distribution of light, there fore a even canopy wins over a large single cola (in my garden).

and if you top them early then veg them for 2 months the 4 colas with thicken up a lot so you pretty much would get atleast 3 times as much as you would with one right?

The main reason I top when growing outdoors is to prevent bud rot in the main cola. Smaller colas means less of a chance of bud rot developing.

Thats logical, being that the more you veg the more potential she has. Also what I do is transplant her so there are 4 branches coming out of soil. Using the FIM method I have easily harvested 5-7 oz per plant. The 4 cola method I have harvested 1 oz per branch of main bud.

Out here in Oregon, Eugene. we see alot of bud rot. So yeah I see what your saying and when I o get my hands dirty in real soil I will remember this.
