my two girls are in my closet and they´re 3 weeks into flower, they smell a little bit but not at all as bad as i thought it was going to get during flower. is there a certain week where the smell just explodes?

When hanging to dry seems the most potent to me. But that's just what my (large) nose tells me, your mileage may vary. ;-)

Depends on strain, how much wind is blowing on the plants, etc. Some barely smell through their whole cycle, some smell a couple weeks into veg.

well im growing one blue widow plant and one hash spice. i would have thought the blue widow would be a stinker but im glad they dont smell that much as i live in an apartment and dont want it leeking out into the hall! the smell might increase in the coming weeks as dirtfree explained but we shall see! thanks for the replies !

my plant isnt Badly smelly, but occasionally i smell her commin out of my vents. I have central air too :-) i enjoy the fragrance!

Right on, mine hardly smell at all when the fan's not going on them. Shake em up a bit, and it's all lemon skunk from mine (Aurora indica). I've noticed some of my older clones that are ready for the tent have a nice faint odor at the growth tips.

Pretty much any kush, diesel, skunk is going to smell in veg; northern lights is a pretty neutral smelling plant so if you get a X with that it will help keep the smell down.

riddleme's theory is that smell is a natural defense against predators, and they only smell when in duress

so let me get this straight... most everyone here is saying the plants smell the most in Veg and not in bloom?

seriously now... confused

when you open up and start fans after a dark night 1/2 to 3/4 the way into flowering. i got power kush it dont stink in vegg that smell is more the wet dirt

I have a horrible sense of smell, so I couldn't tell you from personal experience :P The consensus is that the further along it is in flower, the stinkier it is.
