well I personally had to chop down my two Nirvana Ice ladies.. they were JUST about to get to the end of week #8 of flowering. But, certain circumstances and other factors rose up which forced me to go ahead and cute. I won't complain, even though I had planned on letting these ladies going all the way to the end of week #10 flowering... as this strain from Nirvana is way more Sativa than Indica, and need a good 10 or 11 weeks before they're at max potential and potency.
But, even cutting at 8.5 weeks into flowering.. most the trichs were cloudy.. with a few amber/brownish ones here and there. Still drying the buds. My total dry weight wasn't much.. just under 1.5 ounces dried. Well, I say dried.. but they're not fully dried. Just about there though.. few days from being ready to throw into the curing jars for a month. Wasn't my heaviest yield.. but wasn't bad considering a few other factors during the grow that slowed things down..
But, round #2 has already started. I had one Ice seed left.. started germinating her last Thursday. Germinated in under 48 hours.. put her into the 1.5gallon pot with some fresh soil that next Friday night. She sprouted out the soil Yesterday morning.. and doing great. I plan on doubling if not tripling my yield.. with just one plant versus having two the first round. I plan on trying to double or triple my yields this round by simply using some advanced grower techniques. I plan on topping her once.. (maybe twice.. not sure) and then I'm going to give her some LST as well. That should definately help yields by harvest time. Also, I plan on this one being able to go a full 10 weeks. Possibly 11 weeks before harvesting.
So, yeah I'm excited about round #2 with Nirvana's 'Ice' strain. This is def. going down in my books of my fav. strains to grow.. and I'm sure the smoke will be just as good too.
Thanks and happy growing & toking to all my fella stoners.
peace..
