So my mate's trying his luck with a single plant grow and he's scared of the net. He's got a question about his lady that I cannot answer :( Why would there not be any resin production after a month of 12/12. Definitely female, growing well too for his first time. showed sex after 8 days, too. 400w hps is his light I should add. The only smell is like veg smell too. Unknown strain of sativa, seems to be a long finisher I guess. Any input?

Ive heard of this. I was reading a grow journal once where the plant produced near odorless buds, and they were a bit fluffy too if i remember correctly. It was a sativa too. Anyway, he said it smoked really well once he harvested it, but it didnt have much smell until it dried.

your genetics have let you down if it doesnt have the resin you want now then you need to re select a new mommy to grow!

it does look like you are getting some resin production because i can see the formation of trichromes mabe its just a low potency strain or it could just be a longer flowering strain.

i see them too..get a UVB light (reptile glo, flourescents) ..Ive read that UVB's somehow make resin glands form like crazy.. and if u add 4 tablespoons of molasses to one gallon of water and water every 2 or 3 waters that would help you also

Yes, the THC content of the plant is produced in response to undesirable conditions. The absorptive properties of THC make it perfect for intercepting UVB damage.

Most opioids produced in plants are produced to ward of predators, protect from UV damage, excessive transpiration or drought. Naturally, inducing these conditions can increase the potency and amount of these chemicals...

i have the same problem im on day 29 of 12/12 my plants took a while to show sex about 2 weeks. but i have no resin on them take a look

ya room might be too humid and cool!plants usually produce resin to protect um from the heat so id increase the heat in the room and lower the humidity!this will also stop any mould from forming.

ive got trichs forming on my 2 and a half week babies!its probably coz when i first put them in my grow wardrobe the temperature was about 95df and humidity was 35% but ive got it under control now but i will definatly increase the temperature in there to about 85 or 90 df and lower the humidity when flowering time comes!
