Cold Winter Climate + HPS Vented into Attic?

So say you live in a cold climate where snow is common in the winter, and you are venting your 600W into your attic, are you worried? Anyone else do this?
 
well, your neighbors might wonder why the snow always melts on your roof, and start asking how you do it ;)

nah i dont think id worry. it may be a BIT warmer than the neighbors roof. its probly a considerable sized attic. the heat will spread before it goes out. one 600 watt probly wont heat the ENTIRE attic very much.

sorry for the issues.
I live where it snows and I had 4 6's exhausting into the attic and got split Joyce beams, sweating sap out of the roof's infrastructure and completely affecting the roofs integrity. Just run the exhaust outside for safe measures. Plus you WILL be the ONLY house with no snow on your roof.

Damn i vent my two 1000's and my ac into my attic but i think ill be exploring a different option anybody got any ideas to make it look stealthy without hanging an air vent out my window???
 
Well I suppose you could cut a hole in your roof and install a vent, would look completely legit then, except there would always be a lot of heat coming from one vent on your roof....? I think I will go into attic for non-snow months, and back into house for snow months, saving on heating bills, and I can leave the window open to keep it COLD if I need it to be.
 
when we last had snow i had around 600w running up in the loft and didnt have a problem, my roof was still covered in snow, although there was one house up the road that had no snow on the roof which made me wonder what they were up to !!
 
Can a proper excuse not be, keeping it really warm in the house in the winter, with good insulation, and ventilation to the attic? (for the roof being melted)
