Ways To Make Soil Less "Hot"?

Hey everyone. I am in the middle of a grow right now on some bag seed and have been using Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil (FFOF) through the whole thing. I had some nute burn and barely saved it about a week ago, and it has made quite a comeback but I believe the nute burn is beginning to come back. My question is: is there anyway to make soil les "hot" or "nutritous"? Has anyone had this problem with FFOF? Any repsonses would be awesome guys I really appreciate it. One Love.

Yea man just treat the soil like some nice coke and cut that shit down with fillers. Grab some organic soil from local nursury, probably potting soil (less nutes, mostly filler) and cut your fox farms in half or whatever ratio you think would be good for young plants and increase in "hottness" as the roots get farther down the container.

you can put mulch around the base, it will absorb the heat before the soil
They're not talking about the "temperature" of the soil. They're talking about the "Nutrient Content". Hot soil is packed with nutrients, perhaps to the point that it could cause nute burn.

To flush do I just pour more water into the container than it can hold?

Thanks for your help guys, I appreciate it.
Yep, nothing added, if you have filtered water (like RO/DI), use that (you can PH adjust though). Something like 3 times the water volume as soil is good usually. There are commercial products for this I believe, but never used them, never needed too.

Thanks gobbly. I'll flush ASAP and hopefully, i'll see improvement. Does flushing it once take most nutes out?
