Thief proofing the garden

I like the alarm ideas. I have a camera too. Nice grow dumbthumb. Very nice looking dogs.184.jpg This is one of my babies. She is 49 days old. 4ft. tall

I also have have a blue and a red nose American Pitbull Terrier and my only secrerty system which i find very very good except they love to eat weed! so i gotta keep my garden protected from them. other then that no sane person would hope my 15 foot fence in a monsters den and grab my plants and beable to get back over without getting fucked up lol
 
Set up a shotgun with a trip wire connected to the trigger loaded with #1 buckshot. When you hear the shotgun blast just grab your shovel. :)
 
My friend pulled 3 males out of his indoor garden of five and has 2 females after 6 weeks. can he dry them out and smoke them and could this be dangerous sence he uses nutreants to grow ?
 
look at deer cameras, they are motion dectectors they take like 3 quick pic's when something goes by, so u can catch them withoout them knowing. very handy u can catch them offguard for sure!

Silly place to put this question.

I use several things. I bought what amounts to a high end driveway alarm. Nine sensors and one base station. $900. It is noisy, and alerts us, instantly.

As far as slowing them down goes, I use strands of barbed wire in places that would trip them up. At night, they're sure to get some scars, when the alarms go off.

I keep a pitch fork next to my back door, and have items like a baseball bat and a hatchet carefully hidden in the garden, in case the intruder is aggressive.

Thieves are best ground up before composting.

I NEVER leave my house after dark, once blooming begins. About 8/15 to 11/15. The price I pay for this hobby.

Lets face it here...if someone wants your plants they're probably gonna get em despite your cameras and alarms, because what really are you gonna do when they start going off?...run out with your baseball bat?..sure hope they don't have a gun...Oh so you'll run out gun's blazing? there's a good idea..let's have a gunfight in the backyard grow op.
 
exactly, I fixed a bucket full of stuff to a trip wire, so the bucket will dump and make noise. Just enough to alert my dogs. Hopfully thats enough to scare someone away. If not, so be it I'll grow some more. At least I will be alive to do so.
 
The best defense is not needing one in the first place. Don't tell a soul what you're doing. From there use a combination of : cameras, dogs, high fences, alarm(s) and sleeping in the yard with your crop. Just a few basic ideas to help deter thieves.By all means be creative. But remember if somebody out there wants your crop bad enough they'll surely get it.
 
cheapest way is probly connecting a perimeter of fishing line connected to a noisemaker of some sort (cans/bottles/bells etc) That will wake you up and you react accordingly.

Yes fishing line is a great tool for garden security. Create a perimeter with the fishing line around your garden as tight it'll get and hang all sorts of noisy things to it. Cans full of rocks/nails/glass, bells, windchimes you name it. Like I said before : get creative.
