My boy Titan

I think it's funny how easy it is to spot animal lovers versus those who don't. I'm glad the overwhelming majority here feel love for their fellow four legged companions. In my experience people who don't like dogs don't like life in general, or themselves. Pets are medically proven to decrease stress and your B/P, boost your immune system and increase longevity. Their love and loyalty is unmatched. Dogs kick ass-- it's science people!

Dont you just love those 100+ lb pitts that are just giant babies. lol
thats 8 ball for sure. we took him to the vet yesterday to get blood tested,
make sure hes on no illegel medications lol. cause the games.
but there was the new asst there and she never met him before. first thing she said was muzzel him.
we told her we never had to do the before... so she goes to weigh him, and he starts getting super happy
and exited to be around the vets asst. licking jumping and playing games. she told us that her outlook on pitbulls
had completly changed. she realized ghetto ass FOOLS will bring dogs in that are very aggresive to the other breed there.
but when simple people like me and my lady come in, its always for sure a diffrent story. Always vey friendly or shy, never aggresive with people like us. so ill have to go with the qwote "when it comes to pitbulls the only beast is the 2 legged one on the other side of the leash" Them are facts right there lol..

My life is likely to last 10-15 years, any separation from you will be painful for me. Remember that before you buy me.

Give me time to understand what you want from me, don't be impatient, short-tempered, or irritable.

Place your trust in me and I will always trust you back. Respect is earned not given as an inalienable right.

Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment, I am not capable of understanding why? I only know I have been rejected, you have your work entertainment and friends I only have you.

Talk to me sometimes, even if I don't understand your words I understand your voice and your tone, "you only have to look at my tail".

Be aware that however you treat me I'll never forget it, and if it's cruel it may affect me forever.

Please don't hit me I can't hit back, but I can tear your arm off and i would never want to do that!

Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate, or lazy, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right foods or I've been out in the sun too long, or my heart is getting old and weak, I may be just dog tired.

Take care of me when I get old. You too will grow old and may also need love, care, comfort, and attention.

Go with me on difficult journeys, never say, "I can't bear to watch" or "Let it happen in my absence". Everything is easier for me if you are there. Remember, irrespective of what you do I will always love you.:leaf:

I'm loving the dog thread. Here's my border collie riding in the truck. The other dog isn't mine, he lives in a bar I like in downtown vegas. I threw him up cause it looks like there are a lot of pit bull fans, plus a bar dog is cool.

Nice! It made me stop and think. I used to raise Bull dogs for hunting, but I don't anymore, now I just have my little girl, and I can;t stay mad at her!

hey hGgurl or any1 on this thread I have a question for you. I am an animal lover and cant stand seeing homeless animals, so if I find any I take them in and they become mine. A few days ago I went into town and found a skinny pitbull/lab mix (I think) close to the interstate. I am thinking a trucker dumped him, because there is no houses within miles. I brought him home and everything seemed fine until he got ahold of a plastic bottle and I tried to take it from him. He didnt bite me, but I didnt take the bottle either. I feel like if I did, I might have got bitten. I also noticed when I feed him he gets excited and wags his tail and tries to attack it. I know nothing about pitbulls, and just wanted to know if this is a bad sign? Or is there something I can do to fix the problem. I just dont want to push any of his buttons not knowing what kind of home he came from, or what he has been through. I dont think he is over a year old, but he is a VERRY good watch dog!! The only other problem is that he barks all through the night, at deer and all of the other animals around here im sure. Here is a couple pics

he's god damned hungry man!! feed him and stay back and once he gets a routine meal schedule going hell be fine. get some good red meat and veggies in there, im sure he'll appreciate that. if you rescue him and make or break his life [which it seems as though you already did] he will NOT forget that.. just take your time building trust with him.

right on...thx! I have been feeding him WELL! I walked him around the property yesterday to show him the perimiter, and he stays up by the house. In my eyes, everything deserves a 2nd chance! I know there is alot of rumors about the breed, and most of the time its from ppl neglecting them in some way and setting them off. here is a couple more pics, and you can see how skinny he is..BTW, does he look like he has alot of pit in him?
