Topping?

more bud sites sometimes nets less bud but with height issues it would help. I see some strains stretch alot more once topped though
 
when u top a plant they stop growin up and grow out/wider. I prefer LST over topping. shit some even do both.
 
Mulitiple main colas- so instead of ONE BIG one.. you get 4 good sized ones. A slightly higher yield. Shorter plants to maximize indoor growing techniques, and light penetration.
 
probably not mentioned yet because it's less common then topping to increase lateral growth, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who also tops to help control height on strains that want to touch my ceiling :)

Not true. I top WAY later than UB suggests, and top my tops and then fim them .. I'll take a pic if I get off my lazy ass later...
 
I topped my current plant but because it is mainly sativa dominant and because I was using CFLs it still grew quite tall. However, it resulted in 2 equally dominant colas and multiple lower shoots heading upwards towards the light.
