So my plants are doing great, no problems at all. But im noticing all these little round brittle shell looking things on branches. There not snails, I am indoors. But some are white and some are orange the size of pin head to a tac head. Is this sap or something? I cant seem to find anything like it anywhere on the net.

oh god i hope they aint the little alien looking things this one dude had on here before. it was an awesome thread. pics would definitely help.

do they look like this? If so they are scales, a type of harmful parasite. cant get the pic to upload but i will here in a bit.

Its not scale, Ill try to take some pics, they are just so so small.
Here ya go...Also there crispy and seem to be hollow, Ill have my new microscope here in about a week. That should help abit. Then Ill be able to take high res pictures at 300x. I'm hoping its dried sap.

because it doesn't really look anything like scale or any of the other effects of scale. Scale will also attack the foliage and the flowers. This is just on stems and stocks. My wife is a certified master gardener and worked in green houses for over a decade and she is stumped on this one. We are pretty sure its not any type of insect as well. Ill know more for sure when my microscope gets here though.

the picture is abit deceiving, the little orange things are round like a ball not flattish like scale as well.

Good looking plants my friend... My only guess on the little crusty thing is it could be nute splash. Got me stumped. Ive seen many a plant and Ive never noticed anything like that. You obviously are very thorough as a gardener to notice that and it shows in your plants. +rep
