Near end of harvest, this is a plant i topped, all the other plants are doing great...

i watered it like usual with every other plant and it was fine, than one day later BAM this shit happened....i have thought that it is very close to harvest, i keep posting pics in another thread asking the experts when is time to harvest this is my first grow.

i also thought it was ok that a few leaves were doing this and normal for leaves to start falling off but this? this does not look normal please help!

Soil, FFOF
Nutrients, Fox Farm line up - sometimes i would skip waterings in between bc with LEDs i water a lot less, every 4-6 days...water,feed, feed, water...
PH started off very low for veg months until i bought a ph and than it was back up to 6.5 all the time

please add more non purple pictures and closer shots of the leaves, stem, soil, thermostat bla bla bla. Main thing is less purple pictues please.

P.S. how close to harvest is close? a week, 2 weeks? how long has it been in flower, how long in veg state?

They look dry to me, like they need some more water. Stick your fingers in the soil, if it's dry 2 inches down water those ladies. Let them go at least another week to 3 weeks tops. Also what's your room humidity like? Maybe you need put out a bowl of water near the fan and give them a little moisture that way too. =)

this is what i thought but the leaves are somewhat damp...and some are crunchy and dry... i am going to water with clear water in a hour when i get home im watching this thread carefully, my babies life is at risk!

question, if all the leaves die off is it time to cut it down? the leaves are fucked but the bud sites are lookin great!

1. is there such thing as too long or too short of veg time? mainly interested in too long of veg, what will the do for the plant if anything?

2. some people say the plant doesnt grow really anymore in height when it is put into flower. on my first grow they really didnt grow to high during flower....whats your take?

3. for my 2nd grow i am using a hps light, i dont have a mh. Is it ok to veg with the hps? my buddy is doing it and the only difference we can see is his plants are a little taller he says....

1. no, once there are roots you can flower whenever you want. theres no such thing as vegging too long either, even mother plants used for cloning can be flowered after months of vegging, but the plants will get big and cost more to feed.
2. flowering typically raises the plant height by about a third, some strains are different but i've always had to account for that extra space on my grows.
3. you can veg with a hps, lost of people use them all the way through, but they will stretch (thats why they get taller when they flower). the sun's light spectrum changes as the year goes on so if you plant something in the fall its not gonna be as bushy as one planted in the spring - same with lights, using a MH to veg will create bushier plants with very close node spacing, allowing a lot more yield in a small area. id reccommend using t5's or 5000k cfl to veg then use your HPS.

as for this grow, check your trichomes, if half are cloudy and half are amber colored, harvest that shit. even if they're mostly cloudy as long as they aren't clear anymore you're good. if the buds seem to be doing fine don't worry about it. in the final stage of flowering the plant will use up all its resources to keep the buds alive so your leaves dying probably wont be a problem unless they're ALL doing it. this actually doesn't look too bad, but then again i can't see everything from the pics.

Maybe something going on with the roots? Like maybe mold or bugs? They look pretty dark so maybe you over did it with nutes?

how tall are your plants? 1 gallon growing space per 1 ft of plant height minimum. if youre using 2 gallon pots your plant should not be taller than 2ft. are there roots growing out of the bottom? how hard is your soil? sometimes i need to gently squeeze the containers to loosen up the soil that way all the soil gets watered and not just the areas that are aerated well.

how clean is your area and how free of bugs are you? a buddy of mine had a similar problem and it turned out to be beetle borers.... check for holes near the stalk of the plant. usually only outdoors though....

no roots out of bottom, i loosened the soil because i dont use perlite and its fine, i get run off fast...

very clean area, and than inside a tent.

i have it in 2 gallon pots yet i have seen 6 ft plants grow in a 2 gallon....

1. No. Long veg has no huge benefit though. I switch at 2 weeks veg in my SOG setup.
2. They "stretch" about 1/3 in size during flower. Some alot more, some alot less.
3. HPS is fine. Consider supplementing with flouros with a blue spectrum (maybe 6400k). Even just run flouros for veg, save on power and bulbs!
They do look dry. Flush them out and harvest in a couple of weeks. They'll be fine! Even if there is a problem, you're almost there :) you should be good till then.
