i appreciate all the advice...and from the responses i read, its to keep growing them. i'm going to try to convince her some how...but to be honest i don't know....my buddy again offered them to take them off me and grow them in a sliding drawer with a "REGULAR" desk lamp.

Im in the same boat man. My girl flipped out on me.. Shes being a bitch about because i smoke in the basement everyday. so what is the difference between smoking in the house and growing??? its gonna smell either way, and no one will know but her an i. but fortunately for me i didnt start my grow yet. im thinking about hiding them in the basement somewhere with a heat lamp to keep it warm. just tell her that you will get rid of them after your first harvest. explain that you have invested money and that you want to see a return for your investment. dose she smoke?so over two months ago i mentioned to my girl that i was thinking of growing to save money in the long run...and she didn't condemn it, but wasn't supportive. So i went ahead and and am two weeks into veg, and i show her the plants and she flips out...she wants me to get rid of them...but my setup is stealth and quite legit....problem is she says that: once i'll have my own stash i'll smoke more, slang, and ruin my life...and she doesn't want me to go down this path...yet i want my own bud...and i've invested enough money in my setup that i'd like at least 1 yield. I don't want to break up with a girl over pot...but i don't want to ditch my plants...they are the closest thing to having a baby without being fucked for life. lol. A friend offered to take them off me...but i don't know...

Get her involved! She is jealous of your new girlfriends and is trying to play the "passive/aggresive" game on you. It's me or the plants. Take control darling and do what YOU want! If she does not live with you, it is not her call what you grow in "your" house. Communicate your reasons and talk it all through. Inform her that growing is a passion....an obsession and yes, a hobby. That it is a great way of saving money and controlling what is going in your grass. No more buying and bringing home....it's now all behind closed doors and probably alot safer than driving around in your car with an OZ. or two. Identify her issues and worries and help her put them to rest. If she can't manage her own control issues and can't see past her own wants...might want to think about another road...with someone who will appreciate your interests and share them with you.

So I used to be that girl I swear. I didn't even smoke until I met the guy that I'm with now. I'm telling you - people can change. She can be convinced. Maybe you should actually try giving a shit about why she's freaking out. Growing weed is ILLEGAL. Maybe she loves you and doesn't want you to get caught. Review the laws with her and what could happen to you. How leniant are the laws in her area. Don't pay more attention to your plants then to her. That's just feeding the fire. The poor girl just doesn't want to be left out probably.

I dont think anyone here is going to tell you to stop growing because she said to. we all know how enjoyable and rewarding the hobby is.
the main point here is one that transsends this issue: nobody can TELL you what to do. its that simple. if you're just 'dating' someone and they TELL you to stop doing something because that's the right decisions for THEM, what else will they TELL you to do in the future?
you are standing at a precipice, right now. you are an adult and you want something in your life. it's your decision, not hers. weigh her feelings on the matter, especially if you live together, but the choice is yours.
ultimately, no one can TELL anyone what to do. its not about the thing, its about accepting the other person for who they are. THE CHOICE TO GROW IS YOURS. if she chooses to leave you over this, its important to realize that THE CHOICE TO LEAVE IS HERS. but DO NOT accept an ultimatum. its essentially giving her cart blanch to make demands of you using threats.
i would NEVER let anyone control me like that. also, remember that keeping a cool head in your conversation with her over this, while not giving in inch for what you want out of life to be happy, will show her some real balls. women crave that in a man, even if the disagree with you.

I think you should be able to trust whoever you are with and not have to hide shit... although if it were someone new you have to follow the ol' rule of loose lips sink ships.
Personally I have had dudes bitch at me in the past about growing and now they are outta my life...these are my thoughts.
1. Its none of their biz what I chose to do in my own home and if they dont like it they can get to steppin. Plus I wanna be with someone that loves everything I do.
2. I think you are putting yourself more at risk by going through someone. Then you pose even more of a risk of getting caught with a sack, because you dont know whos watchin or snitchen on your hook up.
3. You should tell her that youve already invested your time and money in it, and also tell her in the long run... youll be saving a lot of money by having your own stash...and if you wanna bullshit her a lil and most likely win her over you can tell her that you were sick of wasting so much money on it and you wanted to save that money for something special, on her... or for the two of you.
4. If she really loves you, you can also throw in the fact that when you get bud from strangers, you dont know what kinda ferts and pesticides they use... which can be very harmful and hurt her love.... she wouldnt want that to happen would she?
If none of that works and shes still complaining about something so miniscule in your relationship and bitchin about how she "thinks" your gonna be without even had experienced it yet... dump her... there are many other women out there that will support what you love to do.

wow that sucks. my dad was a low life pothead and thats why i swore to never touch the stuff. i do blame the pot for the way that my dad acted, but the thing is pot has different effects on different people. now, it's not ONLY the pot that makes people do things that they do but i think that sometimes it is a contributing factor. You need to be honest with your boyfriend if you really love him. its something that you can work through. lying gets you nowhere. show him that you arent like his step-dad/uncle.
