I have to say i have to agree wiht the whole responsible family idea. If you can't afford a kid, don't have one. If you really want a kid, then change your lifestyle in a way that will make this possbile, buy a rural house and grow more food to save money for the kid etc. As to people often telling me in reply that not everyone plans for children, well piss off, maybe you shoulda taken it in the bum till you were confident you could cover all ramifications of the full whammy, sticking a dingaling up your hooha has rather well documented results. While the system is in place though, might as well use it though i know my dad has paid hundreds of thousands into national insurance, it only makes sense for me to use his money

Totally agree on the community service. And I agree that people need to stop breeding- I just think children shouldn't suffer because their parents are horny tools who don't know how to pull out.

The problem is the requirement to buy something we don't want, and ruinning the current healthcare system that 85% of people are happy with. In a short time it would be the only option.

that same health care system puts hundreds of thousands into bankruptcy every year, leaves tens of thousands more to die, and is increasing in cost every year (tripling over the last 20 years). on the bright side, we pay twice as much as the rest of the world for all this awesomeness! huzzah for the usa!

since you can't do me a solid and point out how the requirement to buy your own insurance is equivalent to the government providing it (you danced around that and changed the subject instead), perhaps you can enlighten me as to how many other nations that insure all their citizens for half of what we pay to insure some of ours also do not have a system in place to make sure everyone that can pay into the system does?

You will be required to buy insurance, after the goverment has put in a assload of new requirements, no one will be able to afford it after the insurance companies adjust so they can remain profitable. So you can either pay the fine or get on the goverment roles. It is not that hard.... We will all end up on the goverment roles because that's what the progressives want.

Thats actually pretty accurate. The vitamins/minerals start to degrade very quickly after harvest, and most fresh produce isn't "ripe" like we think it is, when they harvest. Most food is picked 1-2 weeks early while still green, this allows for long distance shipping with less damage to the valuable cargo. If it needs to be ripened quickly for harvest, the will gas it with ethelene gas (might be spelling that wrong, its the same gas released by ripening bananas). This causes the colors to change and "look ripe" without taking the extra time. Frozen veggies are picked, flash cooked, and frozen generally within a few hours of harvest.

They should have fixed the problems and keep what works instead of the lobbyist for all the problems of healtcare writing a massive piece of crap to destroy what we have for healthcare.

i will remain on private insurance, as will everyone else who buys insurance. save those on medicare/medicaid.

The first step of freezing vegetables is blanching or steam which is done to stop/kill bad bacteria,but also causes your water soluble vitamins like vitamin C and the B to break down, deteriorate, or leech out..this is very common in food storage ( canning and freezing). Now the body does not store these two vitamins (B-complex vitamins and vitamin C ) so it is very important that you receive them everyday..You can get B in alot of other source like meat,fish,eggs,poultry and Fresh veggies are best for me...good source for vitamin C is citrus fruits..Have you ever tried a frozen orange or grapefruit...WTF....now don't get me wrong I will eat frozen veggies if its out of season or thats all I have at the time, but to say it is better in nutritional value is false...You can always tell if a fruit or veggie is ripe or not ( while at least I can..my wife swears she can smell it..so far she has been right) and if you buy fresh veggies or fruit that are not ripe just let them sit until they are..Now I also buy fresh and then freeze for winter, but thats because some veggies are better then none ( I also keep plenty of can shit just in case the world ends hmmmmm might have to go check some dates)..

letting foods sitout until they ripen on the counter is not the same as waiting until they are ripe on the vine. During off season when produce is expensive, frozen is a viable alternative. I agree though, the texture/flavor are lacking. The only arguement was it was "too expensive" to eat healthy. Not true, people are just too lazy. I can only repeat what I was taught in my nutrition courses during culinary school.
