Color Changing Plants!

Gonna grow some Pk on my next run I've got 7 strains PK, GDP, Blue Dream, Purple Bubba, Blue Berry, OG and Euphoria OG and your plants look almost ready if not ready now + rep for the PK homie:weed:
5 of those are are some of my top favorite strains! I have not had the pleasure of tasting the Euphoria yet but I will be looking out for it;-). You are correct about the PK it is about 2 weeks from harvest. Watching the trichs a lot!

Nice! I recently had a plant go very purple during dry/cure, although it was green when cut. It was left outside in it's drying chamber during a 20 deg night....I missed it the next day, retrieved it and it had turned purple! Continued dryign/curing....it remains purple....It was 1 of 5 DieselRyders....good toke material.

Yeah up here in the mountains we got plenty of cold weather;-). I am glad that these stains I have found their way to me.

Here's a pic I just found of one of the purple kush nugs, right when it started turning colors. Only a few days till harvest...more pics to come!

These plants started turning color about 4 wks in, first the leaves, then the buds...the Chem D that turned pink turned those colors in the last week of flower. But I have grown plants that are purple from the beginning and ended being almost black, with no green at all in the plant. Wish I had pics of those!

quick question, you know how when you clone a normal plant and put food coloring in the water the plant changes color, would this work the same in cannabis plants and do you think it would effect bud color too?

It's funny that you would ask that...we have a friend that swears it would work. AND not affect the taste or smell. Food coloring is food grade so it should be safe, and the bud is the flower of the plant so it really does seem like it would work. Give it a try and let us know!

Hmmm...blue? Honestly, though, I don't think it will make much of a difference doing it during veg, if anything it would be more beneficial when flowering. Although, I still wonder if it would hurt the plant. It shouldn't, but you never know until you try I guess! I would try adding food coloring to water and test the ph to see if it makes a difference at all. If it does, I would say don't risk it. Anyways, like I said, let us know what happens!

prob is, i cant test ph, not that advanced yet. what i was actually planning to do was while rooting (did this when i was a kid) put coloring in the water its rooting in, i dont think it would work during grow unless it was hydro due to the dirt, could be wrong, but still wont hurt to try i guess, btw i did some research and found out that food colorings ph is 9... idk if its true or not, but what it looks like

hey man, i was just doing some research and a study the the university of illinois says that it can actually change the color of the flower and wont harm the plant
"if it wont harm you it wont harm the plant, visa versa"

HARVEST! Three cheers for Purple Kush!:clap::clap:
