Well I found a 400W HPS used without a bulb for $90 shipped. Probably get that and build a big single grow room.

Basically yes, its more complicated than that, PAR values and such, but a good rule of thumb is the more lumens the more you harvest.

What kind of yield do you looking to get per plant? I really don't want to have to uproot my grow to add in a HPS but I will if I have to. I'm just looking to get a personal stash of about like an oz-oz and a half a month with my 2 plants.

I'm guessing that's gonna change, once I get my own stash. What I get here ain't top shell by far, I'm guessing that explains it, it just don't give you the satisfied sempsation so more smokin'. When I lived in London I remember 60 pounds of good Camden Town Skunk lasted me for a week, can´t recall how much 60 pounds buy in London, any UKers?

By the way, I'm buying 400W of high freq lights this weekend. I already have 400HPS. Some people write about having some MH present in the room for increased psychoactive effects in the product. Other argue Sodium is the far best for a flowering room. What would you recommend? Thanks

So with an 8 week flowering time, your looking at 4 oz and that's not including veg time. I agree get a 400 or 600 if you can and use all the area as efficiently as you can. There's a good possibility the bagseed will be male or not up to par and will be pulled. I recommend growing as many as you can fit under the light if your going to do it anyways might as well do it as big as you can. More plants allow you smilar yeilds with less veg time where as filling up the area with one or two plants could take many more weeks.

I would say if you only have two plants, i would get a nice indica strain and do a simple scrog. (Screen of green) Indicas stay short for the most part. Actually, u can do ONE plant and train it under the screen ( in about a 2 x 2 foot area) U need to get at least a 400 watt hps though. CFL will not get u what u want. Search ebay they are very reasonable like $110 complete with ballast, light, hangers, reflector all that crap. Then search sog (sea of green) or scrog in this forum to see what i mean about the screen. U can easilly get 6-16 ounces from one plant, it will take a little longer vegging to train it but worth the extra month or so. If you got limitted space, sog or scrog is the way to go.

i think this was a 3 or 4 gallon pot with soil in a 2 x 2 area, and i think the harvest was 12 ounces or somethin...If you used a power grower bucket you could easily get 1 LB....a little extra money and effort but they pay off is excelent

yes the bulbs are pretty cheap and you can find those at most hardware stores, but you need to buy the ballast and thats the expensive part.
