Does the link Ive attached raise any concerns? Your children, the ones you love more than anything in this world are being raised as cattle, To supply this nation a foundation so that the men lurking over the presidentS shoulderS can continue their dynasty, and protect thier families and interest from YOURS. Its all a joke. All of it. You people think you CAN actually make a difference?? You cant. If you can, do it. I wanna see.
Does it really take revolutions,or civil war for change? Or can we all be smart enough to see whats coming. The obvious. Yes? No? So be it. Who cares about the left, or right. ??? what does that fucking solve? Obama not american?? WHO FUCKING CARES????!!!!
Our legitimate rights are being sucked up by people that sit in office hired to write laws. They have no work If they dont write laws, pass bills, so on. Dont you see? The economy took a shit but now were having to pay in different ways so that the government can continue to run, using our sweat, our hard earned dollar that we sacrificed our family time for to be at work on time everyday like fucking robots. People talk about doing this sorrt of thing, I DID IT you know what happen? I was told to leave or I would be arrested
How long will it take for the people to make a stand?

ya, corporations and big business pay less and less every year while the people pay more and more, this is one of the things republicans try to hide from the public, just one of the many truths hidden from the public by either democrats or republicans.

Ladies and Gentlemen its not Left Vs Right anymore, its us vs them, the people vs the bankers, please get it through your head that the bankers have taken over this country because it will take a great majority of us to over throw them.

Did you read that list? Do you realize your senator is trying to deceive you?

A tax refund just means you already paid over the amount you were supposed to.

If you earned 30 billion dollars and paid 50-70% tax (tax on large corporations is really high), then you paid from 15-21 billion in taxes. Boeing had a 30 billion dollar contract and got a refund of 124 million so that means they overpaid by 0.5%. I don't see this as a big deal considering they have to pay quarterly taxes and its a bit hard to estimate precisely right when the numbers are so big.

Exxon pays its US taxes through its gas stations - these are not attributed to the corporation as paying taxes but taxes are paid on all gas sales. Exxon is an international and non US company so it would make sense that only their domestic dealers (who are independent) pay tax.

Open you eyes people and don't let senators blind side you.

Do you realize that >95% of all taxes come from companies and the top 10% of the wealthiest citizens? Why hate on the people that pay for your roads, education, medications, food in some cases, rent in some cases... Same people that provide you with work as well.

I like #8 - Are you saying we should have charged them tax and then bailed them out even more? Bailouts are bad and the liberals were wrong to let failing institutions continue, but you can't complain about not charging them taxes while giving them money.

REALLY!! A Senator trying to decieve ME!! how dare he.

Oh and dont forget to read this, http://climateprogress.org/2010/04/06/exxon-mobil-paid-no-federal-income-tax-in-2009/
and just incase you get lazy.
""Exxon tries to limit the tax pain with the help of 20 wholly owned subsidiaries domiciled in the Bahamas, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands that (legally) shelter the cash flow from operations in the likes of Angola, Azerbaijan and Abu Dhabi. No wonder that of $15 billion in income taxes last year, Exxon paid none of it to Uncle Sam, and has tens of billions in earnings permanently reinvested overseas.""

ALSO:

""reinvested overseas.
Mother Jones’ Adam Weinstein notes that, despite benefiting from corporate welfare in the U.S., Exxon complains about paying high taxes, claiming that it threatens energy innovation research. Pat Garofalo at the Wonk Room notes that big corporations’ tax shelter practices similar to Exxon’s shift a $100 billion annual tax burden onto U.S. taxpayers. In fact, in 2008, the Government Accountability Office found that “two out of every three United States corporations paid no federal income taxes from 1998 through 2005.”
Media Matters adds:
Even though Exxon doesn’t contribute anything to the federal government, it spends millions of dollars trying to control it. According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Exxon Mobil spent a whopping $27,430,000 on lobbying in 2009 alone.
Oh, and you’ll be delighted to know that, as the Financial Times reports today “ExxonMobil, the world’s largest international oil company, has agreed to pay the US government $32.2m in a settlement to resolve claims that it knowingly underpaid royalties owed on natural gas produced from federal and native American leases, the justice department said on Monday.”
Someday, ExxonMobilShellChevronConocoPhilips will be one big company making tens of billions of dollars in profit, while paying no federal income taxes and spending millions spreading disinformation aimed at keeping us addicted to their toxic product.""

But I guess i shouldnt believe everything I read. Especially on the internet... DAMN LYING POLITICIANS. Oh and he's not my senator tyvm.

I want to state firstly, yes I did read the list. Next I'd like to ask did you? Third, yes, your right, when you pay your taxes throughout the year or at the pump you pay your taxes. Simple. But they dont pay pump taxes. You do. And the government collects it from you. Not them. And why cant I ask them to be taxed on free money? I do. I dont care who the heck gave it to them, Its like borrowing money from you to gamble against you, and at the end of the night, I went home with all the bills, and you went home broke. AFTER you lent me the money. How would you feel? Would you not deserve a cut? Would you feel bitter if you did not get one? Oh and heres your ten dollars back, thanks for loaning it to me so I can win the pot and take all your money. LATES!

You are too cute.

And thank the lord for oil companies and their corporate lax loopholes. Do you know what petrol costs in Europe? >$7/gallon...

What is your argument? That corporations shouldn't have political power? Or that the deficit is due to tax payers and not the failing government entitlements and overspending?

/ as to the above - you think they don't pay tax per gallon of gas sold? Really? Reaaalllllyyy? Please walk into a gas station and talk to the manager for just a second. Ask them what their leading expense is. Please? For me?

Just so we're clear, it turns out that the left does want to solve this problem. Left/right matters, it's just when you argue between center and right(notice how no one in the media has covered "the lefts" plan?), you always end up with policies that are right of center... You're arguing that left/right doesn't matter but it's only because you've been watching the right argue with the center(Obama, Clinton) - not the left.

Your argument boils down to a false equivalency...

I'm just confused. What is the point that has been overshot? I thought the point was that a particular senator was trying to convince simple people via his website that large corporations pay no taxes, when in fact they pay very high taxes and that list is simply stating what companies overpaid or cooperated enough with government regulations that they earned the rite to pay less.

Why do you insist on complicating the subject. Ok let me clarify. So you understand..The consumer will pay the tax,The shell staion will pay tax, the distributors will pay a tax, the refinery will pay a tax, the corporation EXXON will find a way through loopholes and squirming to roll the tax deduction on down to the tax payer. Are you reading any of my links or guessing?

Why would EXXON pay tax when all of their distributors have already paid? When I order my lighting system from out of state I don't pay state sales tax... Oh wait, neither do you or the company. Isn't that a lot worse than a corporation already paying its taxes through the shell station, the distributor, the consumer, and the refinery? Import tax is still being paid as well.

Are you saying you want to redo the entire tax structure? I'm down...

Honestly, so we're on the same page this has very little to do with taxes and ALOT more to do with big guy little guy. I dont know about you but I'm struggling. And when I say struggling I mean it. My children are suffering from it. I have a job, As a matter of fact I have TWO. Im a small business owner.
So how do you feel about lending me money to gamble? Interested? I even promise to say THANK YOU at the end of the night, hell, I'll even give you back the money you lent me which is more than I can say for these HUGH corporations.

In my opinion the only wrong doers are those corporations that received bailouts and those parties involved in dispensing them.

Capitalism in the United States has flourished and is one of the prime reasons this country has flourished and afforded its citizens the lavish quality of living they afford. If it wasn't for the big companies, ford, google, microsoft, intel, the big banks, to name a few, this country would not be what it is today. Corporate bailouts have allowed unsuccessful companies that should have gone under due to poor financial management and often poor human resource management to survive and continue their poor practices at a tax payer paid discount. Capitalism promotes the strong to succeed and the weak to fail but when the weak aren't permitted to fail then the country loses it's drive to succeed.

The global market place is a real thing and we have entered the ages where it is a necessity. Operating in the global market place should have the same rules as an open capitalist market where the best quality per price items and services are what succeeds. If another country offers better or less expensive services than good for them, they should receive the business - this lowers costs for the consumer and thus increases the consumers purchase ability which raises the quality of life.

I personally went from one great paying job to two poor paying jobs, to three even worse jobs, to having to become a student. The economy sucks but I would never blame it on successful large corporations with good practices when the federal government is endorsing failing corporations. We need less big government and more of a pure capitalist market.

Well I feel the government spending more than it takes in is the problem here folks. Give them fuckers 2.6 trillion in taxes and the bastards spend 4 trillion. Fuck the damn(change) taxes on big companies. What the taxes they would have paid would not run the government a week. It is your government that has the country so fucked up and you are right it is not the left or the right, it is both of them. Wake up and put the blame where it goes. Thank you very much have a nice day.
