awesome job bro so those are two "240 watt" blackstars you have hanging right there? how long did you veg those plants for and I am very interested to see how dense the buds on your lowest branch are how do they compare to the top in density? would you say that these lights ability to penetrate would eliminate training techniques like screen of greens and LST used by HID users to achieve higher yields I notice a lot of you new LED users just growing your plants carelessly straight up which is all fine and dandy in fact it is genius I would buy two of these lights in a second if you tell me that your bottom branches are even a tad bit as close in density as your top colas.

dapio, check out my signature. I have two grows going right now one is using the SCROG method under 1 300w LED from Lighthouse Hydro, I plant in a growbox, and another grow is 500 watt Blackstar growing 6 plants no training besides topping and Fiming. The 300 watt is 31 days into flowering and the 500 watt is 21 days into Veg going into flower on Wednesday. I am buying another 240w Blackstar tomorrow for the grow tent

yeah right..i wish............they barely even gave me a discount on my last light
no sir, my bottoms are not equivalent to the top buds.....my closet was a bit overgrown though and too close to the lights so it didnt get to shower the entire canopy as it should have...i promise, my next grow will be better

Im thinking either 2or3 of them for my grow and getting ride of my quatum 600w cool tube brand new but it get awfully hot man holy shit..how much above ambit temp would i get with these lights kush???

i actually cut the bud close enough to go straight into the jars after a few days of drying
my closet was getting about 10degrees above ambient temps but to be honest it all depends on the size of your growing space....it will definitely be a hell of a lot cooler than your 600watter
just for the record i find grams per watt totally irrelevant, and always taken out of context but i will be sure to post my dry weight in a few days

Hey kush my space is 4.5ft highx 4.5ft longx 2.5ft wide..plan is to put 2 on the top for colas and then put 1 on the wall to hit all the lower branches what do u think??hows the sampling going??

i appreciate it! I can see for some the spirit of the grow comes in to play but until electricity is free the means of production will always apply for me
nah its not that bro, its just that nutrients, ph, temperature, veg time,amount of plants, humidity, strain, hydro or soil.............there are just way to many factors for the gram per watt ratio to mean anything outside of a scientific grow in a controlled environment...
i just feel like the gram per watt ratio doesnt or shouldnt mean that much to closet and tent growers such as my self.....even with hps grams per watt is not guaranteed, it all depends on the grower and this is only my second grow
the side lighting is a good idea, that always helps.....but it may not be required....all depends on how much vegging you do..........i definitely vegged for a little too long in my case.......i wanna see how my girls turn out with the recommended light distance which is about a foot, my plants were only about 4 inches off but not directly under the light i would push them to the side to avoid any bleaching and i didnt experience any bleaching

Thats good news bro..i just figured the underneath light would just help ya know..prob veg 4 weeks then 12/12 for 7-8 weeks wanna do grapegod or grape deisel from next generation female seeds five of each but prob just do 6 for space reasons..Those strains r 50 days indoors so should be quick almost like my haze auto they can take up to 12 weeks

not a clue, honestly i would have to check the bible....im just saying that there are people who are 100 percent dialed in and monitor all those things and have max growth. a guy such as my self is still learning and maybe even you could muster a higher gram per wattage than i did...i just dont want anyone yaying or naying the blackstars specifically off of my grows....all i can prove is that lights do perform well for flowering and i am totally happy with the bud produced
