Some say you can use vinegar. Does it do the same trick as a Ph lowerer you get at the store? I want to do this right. What should i get?

Be a shame to hurt those plants trying to spend less than $14.00 for a gallon. That gallon should last for quite some time. While your there get a ph test kit at least, meter would be even better. Welcome to the forum.
