Wow, they are getting fat! Definitely have been putting on some weight since I introduced shooting powder the last two feeds. I used 2.6g per gallon, and my next feed in a couple days will be up to 5.2g per gallon of shooting powder. If things continue like this, they are going to be monsters in 19 days!

theyre looking good! You should get a handheld microscope and check the trichs for the right time to harvest. Weed is like fruit; if you harvest too early it wont be nearly as good as if you waited a couple more weeks!

So tired setting up my bigger grow tent for my other grow. Took 2 hours to set up, take down my old one, run to Bed Bath and Beyond and pickup a couple more fans. Here are some updated pics. The buds are definitely putting on crystals and getting hard and dense. I used a green light mounted on my head then took pics with my camera. Looks a little better, but some pics you do see some green tint.

Got back from work today and opened up my growbox... My buds are somehow overnight too heavy and falling over. The bottom fan leaves are beginning to shrivel up and die. I have to possibly start stacking the falling colas so everything is vertical again. I can see a lot more red hairs, so now I will start checking trichomes more often. I think I need minimum another 10-12 days.

So I finally got the girl some stakes for her heavy buds and everything is back on track. The buds are definitely getting frosty with trichs, but my iphone 4 does not pick any of it up! Red hairs are quickly accumulating, and buds getting fatter.

Stakes working out just fine. Buds getting fatter and redder. Trichomes are showing up like frosted flakes, but my phone doesn't show it. I am looking to buy one of those USB camera microscopes so I can get all the cool shots for yall.

Getting Fire red in here. Buds are very dense once you squeeze them. Not airy and fluffy at all!

I'm very impressed with your results in soil. There is no doubt that you would be close to if not parallel with me running that beauty in water. Sorry to keep saying that, but you know it's true too.

Wouldn't mind doing a bud swap with you in the end. It would add perfect variety for both of us when you think about it. Fire grown in soil with LED on Friday, Diablo grown in hydro with HID on Saturday... it would be perfect.

LMAO! I know I got a 7.2 megapixel sony camera that I don't know how to use! I will have to read the directions and try to configure that sucker. I just usually use my iphone... We do need to link up when we harvest.

I don't know it's kinda hard to see the detail of the hairs in your iphone pix. But hey, that Sony you got should do the job handily. Just make sure the flash is on, point and shoot. Also see if it has a macro mode (usually represented appropriately enough as a flower symbol)... This will help focus detail up close. That camera should kick ass. Once you figure it out, by all means hit my journal back with some of those pix off your new camera. My journal is starting to bore me with just my own photos day after day.

This here Diablo is looking more of a deep amber than red, but it's hard to judge the true color by the harsh yellow of the HPS. In the end, the calyxes will be so swollen that the hairs are all tiny dried up curls. that's when you know you've hit full swell.

I'm gonna chop when the hairs have all pretty much dried and reached the state I mention above. I'll also keep an eye out for amber trichs. I think some of the milky ones were starting to show that off-white cafe au lait tint last I checked. Should be to the end of this week on nutes (letting them drink down the ppm to a lower level), and them letting them run on a highly sugar concentrated lower ppm mixture beyond next week to see how the trichs/hairs are lookin'. Flush time is coming soon, tho... I can smell it...literally.

Let's do this. In our respective journals, we'll document a detailed smoke report when we both reach that magical first bowl point. Based upon what our compared notes are, I think we should consider a small trade.

Oh, but I can tell you this much already. I'm still plucking and smoking those pathetic dried under buds from my prune trimmings of about a week or so ago. I would be lying if I said they tasted good, but the high is very mood-lifting already.
