To flush or not to flush?

I have read the articles on flushing but here is the problem. I have also read a lot of articles from expert growers who do not flush. So I am really not sure what to do. This is a hydro grow. So how do you decide. Also I am not exactly sure what your looking for as in when to dump your water and begin the flush.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I'm approaching "D" day. "D" as in I have to decide.

In all honesty, if the plants are all looking great, I wouldn't flush them. If you are a couple weeks from harvest then just pull back the nutes and let it finish out. If you are a ways from harvest and just want to do a little flush, then replace the water with no nute water for a short period 12-24 hours? and then get them back to regular schedule.

I can be patient on this, so I just want to do it right. My little indoor is doing well and I might be able to pull between 2 and 3 lbs.

dude you'd taste the chemicals its nasty. My first plant I grew I didn't properly flush all the way through so there was pockets of weed that tasted like pure chemicals. Almost numbs your tung.

Sounds to me that peeps who get crap weed when they dont flush are not doing a proper cure. Even found some articles where commercial medical ops never flush. But it is known where flushing stresses the shit out of your plants and also halts the major bud growth at the end. Im in hydro so I will find out. Im not gonna flush but will strive to cure properly. But then again some people are suceptable to chemical tastes. I am after all the bullshit i did in the 70's. Even our well water has a heavy nitrate taste i think from broken down organics. Our water tests showed high nitrates so we put in a RO system, dont notice it now. Im using GH Nova Bloom so i guess im about to find out. I think they say that stuff is organic where just the GH Bloom is all chem.

Just a little thort. when people grow tomatoes you feed them all the time and dont flush seem to make a tasty tom. with my girls, I have flushed for the final month and lovly big sticky buds. I have also not flushed one plant and just put her into a water cure for a week. really tastyy and smooth. so many choices isnt there.

I guess its like steak. My wife likes tenderloin medium. I will take rib eye medium rare any day.

Well i have decided to not flush. Im going drown them. Been on riddles new site and i want to try that technique. What the hell im i want to see if i can get that great growth in the last two weeks. I will do a proper dry and cure. I have done a lot of reading on it on the internet. I kind of like the thought of not stressing your plants for the last two weeks and instead of letting them eat themselves alive being deprived of nutes. Sounds like lowering nutes 25% and depriving them of oxygen for the last 2 weeks might work out. After all i read all week flushing sounds like the wrong way to go.

Before you blast me lets give this a chance and lets see how this goes. I will keep the info going.
