I want to know how to remember everything I read with one read.. I hate having to reread everything...I heard china invented some super brain drug but can't find anything on it.

I want to know everything, I want to run the world.

I found this http://www.supermemo.com/articles/20rules.htm, going to read through it.

THE POINT IS... I am a learning biologist. I have begun to take one of the hardest classes ive ever taken "Cell Biology" It has nothing to do with memorization, but concepts. I figured, that If I could remember everything I read, that putting these concepts together would be a breeze. I have been able to breeze through classes such as genetics, evolution, plant eco, biology of seed plants... several more, but they only required me to memorize what the teachers want... Now I have this teacher from fucking bumfuck iran or something (no offense) and he just randomly pulls shit out of a middle of a 200page reading supplement... Its killing me.. Literally! I studied close to 36 hours for the last exam and made a 51! WTF!!!

Heres what I have tried..

Rereading my txt over and over- --- my GOD DOES THIS GET BORING! I love the material, but the textbook is so BLAND!
Rewriting my notes ---- helps a bit but not much
Summarizing - same as above

So far the BEST approach has been for me to draw process over and over, such as the Na+/K+ pump channel, simply it regulates the concentrations of NA and K in your cells, along with glucose and other large molecules. BUT this take SO MUCH TIME and there is SO MUCH MORE! I UNDERSTAND there is BRIGHT individuals out there, who can simply read once and move on... THATS NOT ME.. I need help with Technique and my teacher-student relationship is not helping...

After I smoke, I could be in the middle of a story, see a commercial on tv, and totally forget what the hell I was saying. It's pretty bad. Still beats those whiskey nights and mornings.

its not easy to remember what you read the first time you read it. things that are bold, vocabulary words, etc, should stand out to you. then read it one more time to get the general idea, however things have to be read three times at least to get detailed information. its easier for some than others. I have a really high retention rate when it comes to reading, and I read really fast. just go with the skillset that you already have

Unfortunately, this is a summer class (5 weeks) Currently with a D and need a C to move on to more bio courses, so continuing my study habits is not helping. So from reading through a few websites, going to do the yoga exorcise sigh :/. About to start reading the fucking 500 pg chapter.... and going to try to just stick to what this guy went over in class than stick with all the info. Wish me luck

Very interesting. This is the way Hindus here in India have been paying their respects to Lord Ganesha, the elephant faced god. They stand at the sanctum sanctorum facing the deity sideways (they do not stand face to face with the deity) and hold their earlobes, right hand holding the left lobe and vice versa. Then they squat and get up for maybe two to three times. This has been an age old practice.

Just be careful. You may meet Budda. And he's one big mother.

Word association helped me cram more botanical Latin then I'll ever use in my lifetime. The longest name I can remember ATM is Metasequoia glyptostroboides...the Dawn Redwood

I`m sorry to break the bad news but stoners don`t remember things really fast.

Financial reasons aside thats why I`m not smoking as much as I used to lol

If you want to get stoned alot "sort your life out" in a way that you don`t have to remember things very fast :D Problem solved :D

There is a certain way of thinking I can`t describe that helps you remember things really quick, but getting stoned will always be a burden on your memory lol
