I have 5 alcoholics in my immediate family and a seemingly infinite amount in my neighborhood, and I can tell you alcohol should be and should have been illegal for years if they're going to target something to ban.

I think the voters should get a petition together and put it to vote for politicians to be drug tested randomly, I find it very hypocritical that they don't have to get tested to run the country but a factory worker has to get tested to package screws. This is our country not theirs, they are using scare tactics to make us conform. IS THIS A DEMOCRACY OR ANARCHY? Any politician like Bill should pay dearly for ignoring the will of the people, 63% of the vote carries power vote them out or have them removed, the shit going on in this government has the whole world laughing at us.

to me though - this is how the law read in the first place. it never distinguishes between a patient signed under the caregiver or any other patient in 4(e) - it just states a qualifying registered patient. and that the transfer between them does not constitute a sale. the appeals court decision is about sales... well guess what it isn't a sale.

Alcohol cannot be produced on a scale that people can make copious amounts and then sell them to the masses. Yes there is moonshine but any serious person looking to make money is going to just go the legal route because there business will thrive a lot more meaning there isn't a chance you run into a bad batch of alcohol it's "regulated" by the government. Pot obviously is not so with out that to fall back on when the majority of people outside of our community see operations that get busted just like the one in Detroit yesterday they see dirty criminals. CEOs of alcohol companies are seen as business men, most people who run even the most legal grow op are seen as a criminal. Even though that ceo probably has a bandwagon of people that say he is a criminal his business is supported in popular society so it doesn't matter ( they have not been criminals in the governments eyes since the end of prohibition). It's not hard to see why a uneducated person would be hesitant when seeing marijuana being called a medicine. It's not a exact dosage pill, it doesn't come from some company that people find comfort in buying from because it's a big corporation so they must be right. That means Social norms are what you people need to understand especially if your on the side of the fight that needs those to change.
And let me remind all of us that at one point in time people in the alcohol community fought just as hard and believed just as much in their cause as we believe in ours. Hate the game not the player.

Some seem to think that this ruling only shut down the dispensaries but that could not be
farther from the truth. Think of all the poor patients, that by the grace of GOD and their
caregivers, that used to get free or discounted meds and that was made available by the overages
that were gotten into the hands of those patients that could afford it. WELL that is all gone
now. Those people are left out on the street....... We must come together..........
It does not matter what organization you like or do not like it is time to come
together......
They have created a monster and they don't even know it yet but
I assure you THEY WILL.......

I would think more law abiding citizens voted than criminals, the governments' power/control comes through fear which are fueled by the media and prisons.

Panhead I agree totally, I'm from Ohio and after I was paroled I came home to Ohio. I was visiting a friend from Saginaw (who is a caregiver) and my car broke down and officer came an hour later claimed he smelled pot...well, it was a blunt (1.5g) and I was unaware of how serious Michigan can get over such a little ammount...it is a non-jail offense resulting in a 100-150 fine here in Ohio. He said he smelled pot asked if he could have it, I gave it to him and he arrested me. I ended up at the Reformatory (i-5) when I was fifteen years old a full four years behind Michigan's Punk Prison (which they have subsequently closed). I've considered relocating to Michigan to benefit from the mmj program, but figure my luck is so shitty they'd find a reason to say my op is not in 'compliance' lol. Seriously, I admire what you guys are doing, I'd be happy to protest with you guys in Lansing, even though I am not a card holder (I consider my trees to be medicine regardless of their legality).
