Should I get the card now?

Hi everyone not sure if this is the right place to do this but I want some opinons. I hurt myself at my job over a month ago and I still never got my medical card for marijuana. My fault I just kept saying I'll get it soon. Now Im dam near broke, but the good new is workers comp is going to be sending me a check soon. So here is the big question. Does anyone know if I apply for my card, ans send money to the state will that in any way screw it up for me while on workers comp? I also have surgery set up, and would not want to screw that up either. I got a slipped disk and it hurts, and these pain killers suck!!!! The only reason Im asking is pothead said the laws may change the 7th and I wouldn't want to miss out.

what happens when the insurance company shows up for a piss test, written into every business/workmans comp. policies?
They have the right to piss test you as long as you are being paid and I imagine that a positive for THC wouldnt help you very much.

agreed^^^^^^Thats 1 of the first things workmans comp does so they can try not to pay ur bills and use ur drug habbit as a reason...Best of luck

Better get real familiar with synthetic urine real fast. Actually, I guess I'm jumping to conclusions since he didn't actually say that he's smoking yet so maybe we learned him something that may save his job and livelihood.

I am on so many pills for the pain if I smoke, I'll be smoked lol. I can pass right now i've been hurt over a month now. Just worried if i get the card if they will try and use that against me. In some of the paperwork they ask all the medication I am taking. They pay for all the medications and mileage to and from the clinic and the surgery. I'm suppose to report everything im taking . I think i might just be paranoid but its a concern. I will have the money to get it before the 7th. I guess i could get it and if it gets brought up just tell them that it is for after i return to work. Not sure. I want to be legal. I guess either way i would have no problem doing it after I return to work since I am going to have back pain when this is all done and documeted very well. I have copies of the mri x rays and all the paperwork so I guess either way I would have no problem proving the artheritis. Anyways thanks for the responses I love this site so much information on here I have learned a lot about growing.
