I work from home and I use my laptop all day. I was cool with it until someone posted a pizza or something warming under a laptop.

Then I read something about microwave/radiation from computers. I'm not sure that's real or just a myth.

The last thing I want is my yaya being baked without the intent of being eaten.

Q: Is it safe or not to put your computer on your lap for extended periods of time in a comfortable Lazy-Boy. Well, I guess the Lazy-Boy isn't part of the equation.

I've been thinking the same thing recently, cause I know it certainly does get hot and if it's not resting on top of something, I feel like it could hardboil my eggs, if you catch my drift...

Other than the heat it emits from the bottom its fine. I've read before about the heat affecting guy's genitals. Other than that its fine =p

I was wondering if she fried her computer. Can you increase the size of the fan or the volume of air it moves? Would that help?

omg, guys can hurt their nuts with laptop heat? that really, really, really, really sucks

i don't think it does as much harm to you as it does to the laptop.

they ventilate through the bottom, so it's better to place it on a hard surface. there's lap desks for laptops for sale at big lots for 3 bucks.... get one.

if that motherboard gets too hot it might fry itself to the point it won't work anymore....

i think it would cause cancer or something like cellphones in dudes pockets can lead to prostate cancer, i read in the paper recently. Heating up the balls i doubt does much except maybe infertility?

It surely does do as much damage to you medically as it does to you lap top due to closing off the ventilation.
The human male body has a fixed testicular temperature to maintain usual sperm production and development. Though it is not known the exact time of heat exposure and frequency of exposure to heat that can lead to reversible and irreversible production of sperms, it is known that frequent usage of laptops can lead to irreversible or partially reversible changes in the reproductive system of the male body.

I get a red rash on my lap, if i rest the computer in my lap. It takes weeks for it to go away but comes after just an hour on my lap.
