I tried to use a piece of tape first but I didn't feel too good about it... had a feeling it would be hard to get off, and it was too wide so I kept accidentally putting it over baby leaves or flower sites.
You are making WAY too big of a fucking deal over this thing.

Yeah. It's a common accident. Almost any tape will work. It just has to hold it in place and keep the break from drying up.
I just snapped a big main branch completely off at the node where it joins the main stem. I wired it in place for support and wound the join with electrical tape. She's doing fine. In fact the branch is growing like nothing happened.
I think Bend was really just trying to reassure you by saying it's no big deal.
As Mr G said, this thread is a good example of what Rollitup is for. Experienced growers helping someone solve a problem with his grow.
If I had something valuable that I had put a lot of work into and suddenly broke it in half, I'd be alarmed too, and when people tell me it's no big deal I'd want to make very sure I understood what they were saying before I relaxed.
I manage to do this at least a couple of times every grow and it always mends easily. The only failure I had was trying to reattach a leaf ( just for fun ). It's still a bit of a shock when this happens. Looking at one of the major colas lying on the floor next to the pot gave me a queasy feeling. If it were a human this would be a terrible injury, but with mj plants you can just pick up the whole leg and push it back into place. She hardly even slows down.
the other thing is it might be in shock for a few days so if ur feeding it cool the nutes first (dont mix the nutes as strong) just so u dont add a nute issue ontop of it like a burn or stunting it even more..
