Fun Facts

fun fact, the sun doesnt heat the earth, but the earth heats itself. the sun just gives energy to the earth, and warmth, but the earth heats itself, using the greenhouse effect. just learned this in geography

Wait, was this a trick fact? Urca is right- God warms the Earth, he just uses the Sun to help do it-
Nice one Urca ! I had to think about it for awhile but your right- It's God that warms the Earth.

and i guess quick fact, in 1938 america had the worlds 4th largest nazi party, which held rallies in madison square garden every year.

einstein married his 1st cousin. it was his 2nd wife

hitler and einstein both suffered from syphylis? however thats spelled.

hitler took daily doses of meth

america during the height of ww2 made a plot to capture hitlers doctor and make him give hitler medications that would make his moustache fall off,

and the sun wont just 'burn out' the worlds top astrophysist's say that it will expand and grow to a size that it reaches past mars.
not ragging or anything like that to beardo or anyone, just some random facts that happend to be somewhat discussed.

idk, this is what i was taught by my geography professor, fuck, go to college and ask a geography professor

You are wasting someones money-
You go to college and think the sun does not warm the earth- and you said you learned that at school, that is information you paid for- WTF?
Good luck, did you enroll in that cooking class yet? Best Idea you've ever had.

dude, there is proof, the sun does play a role, let me google it. my bad. the sun heats the earth, but the earth heats the atmospehere

I think you or your professor might have been trying to explain radiant heat, what would I know though, I got kicked out of highschool and didn't go to any fancy college for my book learning.

basically the sun emits long wave radiation. which pass to the earth, heats the earth up, etc. what makes our atmosphere have heat is the short wave radiation that the earth emits, but its trapped by the atmosphere, which helps warm up the earth's atmosphere

Reverse that actually. Reradiation is longer in wavelength in this instance.

good god people. college is a waste of money, it's true. the fact IS that you need the piece of paper to get a job unless you're a good liar who doesn't mind getting caught here and there. i do make up bullshit resumes but i don't lie about duties, just about titles and dates LOL. i did graduate college, it's gotten me real far. i sit here all day and post, smoke, drink, go to the gay bar 4 lunch... i don't knnow, this is much better than a job imo.

yuo know, in these low end unaccredited universities (not sure where you go), the professors don't even have an PHd, sometimes they don't even have a masters. then again, i don't have a PHd and i know a lot more about somethings than people that do. but anyways, you never know who is teaching you. it's kinda scary. my friend just got a professor job and she has absolutely no workable skills in the real world.

those who can do, do. those who can't, teach.

um, nope, or else it would escpae back into space, which it doesnt.

Heat radiation is infrared and microwave ... long wavelengths.
Primary insolation energy is visible and very near IR ... shorter wavelengths.
Not picking a fight here, but I'll wager real money I'm right.

Because of the Sun the Earth is a much higher tempature than it would be if there were no Sun and much warmer than it will be once the Sun burns out.
The Sun Warms The Earth.
And how is this geography? Definatly ask your college about a refund- Go to the public library and read some books don't waste your money.

Precisely by what mechanism the sun's energy is converted to other forms (heat, light, etc) on earth seems irrelevant. It is obvious the sun provides some energy. However, I believe that much of the earth's "warmth" does come from within, and not from the sun's warming it. Gravity, baby. Causes a molton core, geothermal.
