If you can get some Vietnamese Black,
It will live for years in HI.
I lived on Oahu.
My neighbor had a black plant,
that I walked by for 2 years
before I realized what it was.
It looked like a black post in his garden,
like something you would put a rain gauge on.
I finally discovered it wasn't a post,
when I picked up my frisbee
after it landed at the base of the plant.
My jaw dropped, and I thought I was hallucinating.(again)
Hey, we did a lot of Oahu north shore mushrooms back then.
It was amazingingly black,
and solid bud,
with huge calyx's all over the "post"
It was at least three years old,
and stood four foot high.
The plant was in the corner of a beautiful vegetable garden,
and young NAVY pot heads like me walked by it everyday,
without a clue.
Texada Time warp would also be a good choice
for sculpting "Black Plants".
Good luck,
Show your Grow.
