FIRST TIME GROW (pics)...NEED HELP

I had just sprayed it with water when I took that pic..when I watered it today I watered enough for a little water to drain out of the holes in the bottom of the cup..I hope this soil doesn't stunt its growth..how many weeks do yall think I should wait to start the 12/12 light cycle with such a small space

I would transplant it as soon as it's strong enough to survive a transplant. That soil looks really bad.
You should let your plants be in the vegetative stage for a minimum of 4 weeks, it really depends on how much yield you want, and how tall you want your plants to be. Remember that indicas will usually double their size from when you switch to 12/12, and sativas will sometimes triple their size.
I recommend vegging your plants until they are about one foot tall, then switching to the flower cycle.

well ya but you can start 1212 whenever you want but it will only start budding after its 2-3 weeks old other wise its not mature enough, start 1212 early usually to limit size. havnt you heard of 1212 from seed?? hahah

Yea I have heard of it I just thought it would be best to give them at least 2 weeks of 18/6..I was planning on doing some lst or scrog for more room

oh for sure just its hard to train in a computer cuz you cant get a big enough pot in there for your plant. 18/6 is a good idea i personally dont like 1212 but its out there

the soil maybe too strong for seedlings though but good for more mature plants. i stunted a seedling with that soil, looks like its 7 days old but its 20 days

Wow steep learning curve for us noobs. You mean I may have stunted by babies by transplanting them into soil that's too strong in nutes? I just transplanted them into Fox Farms Ocean Forest, and now they don't seem to be growing as fast as they did in leftover houseplant potting soil.

To the o.p.: Be sure to keep us updated! Computer case seems like a perfect growbox, for people (like me) who don't mind minimal yields. Where are you screwing in the CFLs? Is there a lot of wiring required? Is it light-tight?

Is there any way to do this without a lot of wiring skill? (Even with extra power cords coming out the back?...) Where can a noob learn how to do a simple pc grow?

It's just a power strip with light adapters it requires no wiring skills at all really just strip out the pc get some mylar or reflective tape in there with some fans and your ready..and yes it is light proof everywhere but a small hole in the back...and "legalize it" I think I'm going to use some kind of rubbermaid thing like for holding shoes for a pot there are a lot of videos on you tube where they use those in pcs

Wow! Love it. Thanks blake!

It will do its own thing.... Only give it a little bit enuff to keep the soil a little moist... It doesnt need much keep growin buddy

Thanks everyone for the advice today is day 5 and the leaves are starting to point up towards the lights..anybody know why?..ill post some pics in a sec

You said at the beginning you're using mgoc garden soil. That's supposed to be mixed into gardens. You gotta at least cut it like 1 to 3 with non nuted moss, soil, perlite, coir or something. You're compacted and over nuted.
