i have seen two clones from the same mom grow in the same room and still have different yeilds so its really tough to say but if everything is going well and you dont run out of space or light you should get about a gram +/- 10% per watt. Some people will argue this and thats fine but my personal expierence has been that with my first newb indoor garden i pulled 3/4 gram per watt and my most recent harvest was just over 1.25 grams per watt (real watts not equivelent cfl rating!!! 26w = 100w incandecent =26 grams if all goes well ) that being said keep those lights close . Once you get to the gram per watt level it really makes the whole process alot more fun! Be safe be smart and keep your lips zipped and you will be in good shape for years to come !

i have 330watts :S that does not mean i will get 330 grams :S im confused chief!
do you think i have enough lighting for 3 plants? their autos and at 3 weeks they are 4.5" which is quite small tbh but their about 6 to 7" wide,,,,what do u think?
and you say keep the lights close but dr.bud has the lights fixed at the top at all times doesnt he :S so why do u say keep them close?

if you have 330 watts of cfl lights set up properly or efficiently you should expect around a gram per watt unlesss space or pot size limits the growth. I have weighed the last few runs just like dr bud and got almost the same results he got! His lights are fixed but he also grows in 16oz gatorade bottles so his girls ar essentally just one large cola (lollypop) and dont really need the side lighting as much as my more traditional plants. My first grows were small containers and i used drbuds nute recipe so thats why im a "drbudwannabe"
although i have gone off in a different direction! If your bulb is a 300watt cfl it is really actually closer to 78watts . The three hundred is the "equivlient" of three hundred watts of incandecent light but the light only draws 78 watts (the large number is a marketing thing to help people understand the new light technology).
And if you have 330 real watts spread out evenly over the plants it sounds like plenty of light to me!
this hood for my flower side has 12 26watt bulbs thats 312 total watts and i will definatly end up with 300 grams no prob ! And that includes all the loss from me taking little "taster" nugs in the last 3-4 weeks!

you can pull off a grow with just about anything , it is a weed after all!! Haha our job is to make it efficient as possible so we get the most out of your effort. You can grow a bud under a single cfl in miracle gro soil in a solo cup but that same plant with optimal conditions will be much better come harvest time since it had the right nutes plenty of light in a good soil or medium. So keeping close to natures light spectrums will be one more thing to help the plant thrive...

A gram per watt out of 16oz containers?! You sure you lot aint got a hps running, ive grown with cfl's and hid's and your talking about pulling weights equivelent of using at least a 250w hps, i dont mean to argue but it sounds false. Ive not seen anybody pull a g per wat with CFL's unless you have 500-600 watts of em, more like half a g per wat.

I'm on my first grow with 250W CFL and I've read that a normal yield would be around 1-2 oz.
I've topped/FIM my plant 4 times and I'm using ScrOG but it's my first grow so my goal is 1.5 oz.

check out my last grow "4x4 grow room clean state " all the math after harvest should be there ! I use 1 gallon bags now not 16oz cups my style has changed since i first started following drbud however now with the 1 gal bags i still get the same or close to the same yeilds! And my flower hood now houses 16 26watt cfls or 416watts (real watts not equivilent!) and my main reason for cfls was budget in the begining i could buy 4 bulbs per week no prob! Now that money is not an issue i stick with the cfls because of the heat factor! I had a 150watt hps in the flower side and my temps shot through the roof 90+ f. Tthe cfls keep my temps around 75-80f. With no cooling system the only fans i run pull fresh air accross my plants to keep them moving a bit.
If you find drbuds cfl/gatorade bottle perpetual setup he really went nuts proving his gram per watt for doubters he even has pics that are dated including pics of cured buds on his scale and all the math in black white thats what got me following him i was also a doubter!!!

i run 16 26 watt cfls a total of 416 watts (real watts not equiv.) i grow in 1 gal grow bags since following drbud and still get the same results. The cfls are cooler to run and they can be purchases as you need them locally until you build up a stash! Drbud has gone through a grow start to finish with tons of pics start middle finish and even pics of the cured nugs on the digital scale for the doubting visitors! Thats why i started following him and have adapted my own touches and have changed direction i needed something less time consuming so i stepped up to 1 gal bags.

It's possible to do it, I usually average about 1oz off of each plant (which are auto's). I'm currently about to harvest my next grow and I have to say that they're the best I've done so I am thinking they will hold more than an OZ each which will be amazing. What i don't understand on this grow though is all these people commenting about different types of lights...hes doing it by CFL's he probably has legitiment reasons to why he is growing with CFL's. I think they do the job for what Im trying to do. Yea a HPS is nice and all but not the cops knocking on your door becuase your eletric meter is flying off the damn how with usage. My bill has gone up 5 dollars and I have x2 85 watt (= to 350 watts) + x4 26 watt CFL's all priced reasonably as well. HPS or MH bulbs can be expensive as well which is another reason why i rather replace a CFL i can just go buy at home depot. Anyways this is a great grow and I hope that he gets a crazy yield. Fuck that noise about other types of lights, CFL's till I die. I hope that you do get more than 10g's off your next plants though because Auto's that I work with have great results.

thanks for that mate, and this is an old thread, i have just bought a 250w HPS to see what the big deal is but just to let every1 no my blue himalaya produced 30grams and my 2 afghans produced 50grams between them under 370w of cfl so i have nothing bad to say about CFL's and will be very very dissapointed if my new HPS doesnt produce that!
