Weed Wars

I was confused about the whole tax bill having to be prepaid. Did they not understand the terms when it went to vote? I have a feeling the rules were laid out exactly how they are being enforced; ie it was very clear exactly how much the tax bill would be and exactly when it would be due. Then the vote passed and the tax was due and these stoners were like "OMG this is gonna bankrupt us! how could we possibly have planned for this!"

I also didn't understand how it was a 4000% increase like the guy claimed. They said it went from 1.8% to like 5.4% or something. Even if you count it as a percentage of the original tax paid it's not even close to 4000%. They didn't explain their math very well at all.

I did like that the financial guy walks in and sais hey, they've offered us 3 installemnts, braids refuses no no no this is how things are, 5 minutes later the show is over and he's talking about how they're paying it off in 3 payments. I think you are probably correct Guy, in that this guy was just sprouting nonsense he might have believed in with regard to retro active, and in the end got told what was really what :D

I stopped watching when they made it out to be like a soap opera drama. ZOMG how are we gonna pay the bill!?!?!?! I was hoping it was actually going to be informative and interesting.

I thought it was very informing, the way the guy shoved his nose in a big bag of weed and told him he was the best grower in the world, really explained to me what they look for when they buy pot :D

That was another strange thing. Earlier in the show they said that everything brought in was sent to a lab for testing for mold, insects, impurites, etc, and that this took a couple of days. When that grower bought in his Sage Kush or whatever, they immediately put it out for sale and said it was going to sell out that day. So were they just bs-ing about the testing?

The chick behind the counter states "you got our last quarter. It came today went today."

That committee was just begging him to come up with anything good..They were being required to pay it in advance for the upcoming year..So I believe at the very least they would give them a year of istallments. Even the dude in the dress was looking at him thinking "holly shit, that's all you got?" And then when brades says"no no thats not acceptable, loafer wearing finance guy says "ya, I told them that" .. Entertaining? Yes!! ... But helping the fight???

Yea, but was it a surprise they had to pay it in advance for the upcoming year? I seriously doubt that they recently changed the rules requiring them to pay up front after the vote and they weren't aware. I would be willing to bet that it was laid out that if the vote passed they would be required to pay X% (which they would know exactly what that would amount to) and they would have to pay it by a certain date. There is no way it was a sneak attack asking for that money.

I'm impressed with this episode. I like to see it from the patients eyes. Now that's educating the public.

I had to stop watching it whe the boy starting having an issue (don't want to say in case others are recording). Not what I wanted to see after putting my own son to bed. I will have to finish it in the morning.

Let's count our blessings and pray he will get better.

how can anyone take a man with braids serious to begin with? :?
That's all I can think the whole time, can't even watch it, all i'm thinking is, what's up with the braids? Are you a fake indian or are you trying to be a hippy or gay? are you pocohauntis? What the fuck? He needs to explain why he has the braids

Are these the people and faces we have out front in our movement?? I commend them for doing so but he's got those long braids, the other guy wears a dress, the account is floating through life in his loafers and lil brother just giggles at the amount of cool stuff they have
