mollasses gives the plant extra sugar which makes bud bigger mainly,,,,a plant changes light into sugar which helps it grow,so a extra boost of sugar should help it grow bigger bud considering a plant soon stops growing upwards when flowering,so its all flower growth............peace

ok i gave her the molasses , she took it well ,, i did have a problem tryin to ph that stuff tho ,, i put 1.5 tsp per gallon of water ,, it was too dark to get a reading on the ph ,,, so i tried again ,, i ph'd the water 1st ,, then added molasses , , still had a problem ,,, anyone have any tips on tryin to do this .???,, or does molasses even affect the ph at all..???

Your plant is lovely! You should be proud of the life you bring to your girl. I do not believe that molasses has any affect on the ph of your water, so onward with the carbs. Although i have no proof either written or heard of that molasses affects the ph my experience with using molasses this go around leads me to believe that there is no affect neither positive or negative.
I have never ph'd this grow and i used molasses during the entire flower time at times pouring more than 2 tablespoons into the gallon jug of water. I also used tap water the whole time and never let it set out, went straight from the tap to the jug and right into the soil.
You should see no negative affects in the behavior of your lady's bud growth. You will see however the benefits of using it because your buds will fatten right up. You will also notice abundant crystal growth. Good luck and keep us posted.

I agree with brasmith.....in my experience, I have not had issues with pH and molasses. I expect you'll be just fine. looking mighty fine.....keep us all posted. thanks for your updates and pics.....great job!

I just did a little test, as I remembered molasses as being acidic. Sure enough, my Milwaukee pH51 (calibrated 2 days ago) says that a cup of 7.4 water goes down to 5.7 with about a quarter tablespoon. Molasses is very acidic! Be careful!

see thats my problem ,, i was checking the ph & after adding molasses the water was too dark to get an acurate reading ... , i am about to put on the white lab coat , smoke a phatty & have some experiments take progress .. do a few tests before & after with diff amounts of molasses ,, .. thanks for teh tip on it being acidic ,, i will now add some ph up & see what i get from that ... might have to pull out all my nutes & test everything ,, ,, rubber gloves & goggles , LOL remember kids ,... safty first


yes brasmith i am very proud of the life i brought into this world.. i pay more attention to her than i do to ,, my boyfriend ,, my dog ,, & my bird , combined hehee

she takes the molasses well .. i havnt really noticed much of a size difference ,, they might just plump up & get a lil thicker .. here are pics of day 70 on 12/12 , give or take a day or two ,, its early & yesterday wasss 420 so im still not all here if ya know what i mean

I just started week 7 of flowering you can see mine in my gallery just posted yesterday. I started using the molasses yesterday so i was wondering how it was going for you. I used The Heavies when i forced flowering and i am into day 50. Would recommend it to anyone for serious flowers, now the molasses, we shall see.
