Anyone Else a Paranormal Investigator?

I'm not too familiar with an EVP but how on earth do you know that the data you gather isn't caused by some extraneous variables. From why little I do know, the tools used to detect stuff is terribly inconsistent and there is no way to determine if it is actually measuring what it says it is. Let me know if I'm wrong.

I have never seen a black hole but I know they exist. I think if there was any real evidence of ghosts and such there would be a much bigger research base. Are there any articles that can be posted, I don't have a comp so it's hard to do any investigating for me.

I am certainly not here to convince anyone. Istarted this thread, not as a debate about the exisitence of a spirit world, but to discuss techniques for those of us who study.

lol the last thing I want is to debate about this.I was just wondering if people actually took them shows seriously.
I dont think you can really convince someone about ghosts,we just gotta experience it.Im open to it I just never had that experience.

Apparently they do, or there wouldn't be so many. Shame. The only one I have seen that has any credibility is the one with TAPS. While I do not like them personally, they do have some great toys and come up with some thought provoking material. I was the debunker in our group because I was a general contractor and could rule out much of what clients complained about. We did every investigation from a purely scientific approach.
 
This is some kind of joke right? Like, we all sit here and pretend to believe in something that is an obvious crock of shit, then have a laugh over it later? I'm being trolled again.

That is an excellent question and, of course, where we direct much attention. Which tool(s) are you reffering to specifically?

As far EVP, we try to keep a controlled environment. It is obviously much more difficult in residential investigations. One thing we do is set multiple recorders around so we can rule exterior noise out later. As far as EVP, there is no real threat of anything like radiowaves. We use digital recorders ($200+ models) and professional audio software for playback, filtering, magnification, etc. I do not pay much attention to one syllable EVPs but when you get intelligent (meaning they are answering your question directly or commenting on somehting you are doing, as opposed to some random words) it is hard to refute. On a cemetery outing with a coinvestigatoe we sang happy birthday near a headstone who's decedent was born on that day. On review we heard two women's voices clearly state "I kind of like them" the other replied to her, "yeah". Cemetery in the middle of nowhere, just us. One thing we do also is to state noises we hear at the time we hear them so at review we know ifit was audible at the time or not. I have left my recorder for a few minutes during a session and upon review, a man's voice said "hey, where'd you go?" when I came back. That was at home (I live in the country on five acres with a fenced yard and two dobermans. Nobody else in the house.
 
I'm sorry buddy but that just isn't convincing to me, what about how these ghosts are talking. I want to know how you know what wavelength to use, articles showing the tools efficacy. If I listen to static long enough I bet I'll start hearing stuff. Ghost kinda violate the first and second laws of thermodynamics. How do they take energy and produce it into a wave? If they don't eat or absorb energy it violates the first law.

Do you see or hear animal ghosts?
Where do ghost get energy?
Why is a ghost web made of?

Again, this seems to be a long thread debating the existence of the spririt world. I'll answer your last question and then I am done. Trying to figure out what "helps" those on the other side communicate is part of the science. Electromagnetic fields do seem to have a large impact, so does water, the wind, and things like "white noise". It seems they are able to manipulate those things to get it out. If it was easy to explain, it would be easy to explain. Kind of like trying to explain the "flex" defense to someone who doesn't even know what football is. Sorry, I did not really fully answer your question. Yes, noone like to "listen" for something for too long. The sound is usually very clear with the digital recorders and what you do is ask questions, wait about 30 seconds for an answer (it can be very difficult for them) and move on to the next question. Many times, we will get EVPs that are comments about what we are doing. The most common, and sad, is "help". I use Adobe Audition software. Check it out. It really is not that hard to do EVP research!!

Check out some websites about EVP. I think there is one called Voices on the Wind that used to be pretty good and had some good EVPs.
