Cooling tube, how do they work?

Hey guys,

This has been troubling me, my 600WHPS is way to hot. and someone told me to get a cool tube, how does it work? do I need to connect the inline and exhaust fans to the cool tube, seems like a lot of effort

-cool outside air in---hot air in the tube goes out- one inline fan and ducting...hook it into a carbon filter an yo..cooling tube.

Minimum you should be able to get away with is passive intakes, one inline fan for the cool tube and scrubber, and some regular fans blowing in the grow area. scrubber --> cool tube --> inline fan (centrifugal or mixed) --> exhaust

Basically it works by blowing air across the bulb, I seriously doubt it's alot of work, but I don;t know the situation. However I can't think of any one improvement that can bring temps in your room down as easy and for little investment as an air-cooled hood. Here is a link for what I use http://www.atlantishydroponics.com/Reflectors/ViaVolt-Air-Cooled-Deluxe-Reflector.asp This hood is big, however it is very light weight. I also have Magnum xxl 6" which are very nice also but weight a metric ton (33lbs.) LOL. The cool star pluses are the same size as the magnum but have a lower profile and only weight about 12 lbs.

Thats the problem nowadays, everyone wants to grow the bud but alot of people are not willing to put forth what it takes. Growing weed indoors is a process and if you wanna skip steps in most cases the process breaks down and the bud shows it. Its up to you what you end up with for a final product.

the easy way wont work long anyways, then you will have to spend more on the harder way and it ends up being more cash buying both, then just buying the good stuff. i found that out the hard way but oh well. i know now lol

bigv1976 summed it up for you...cutting corners will reduce yield and quality. All the info you need to know is on this site and if you don't like to read hit up youtube.com and u will have videos to speed up the entire process.
