How many 100watt cfl bulbs should I use to get the best results for 3 auto seeds?

I'm growing 3 auto flowering seeds with cfl bulbs and I was wondering how many 100watt bulbs should I use to get the maximum results and yield? Also since their auto flower should I use 6500k or 2700k bulbs? Or just use both?
 
If you have a shitload of money and want to use it for cfls, hell you could put about 50 all around XD As long as you have heat in control.
But seriously, if you want to do this, get 6 of them. And reflectors, and mylar. Just my thoughts
You could switch to flowering spectrum after you see pistils, or if you want to mix then look around the forum for proportions.
 
If you're gonna do 6 bulbs, go with 4 6500 bulbs and 2 2700 bulbs. I did the same exact grow and got decent results but don't expect big things.
 
Now why would u use more 6500 bulbs if auto's have such a short veg period? You'd go better with 4 3700k(or 2700, can't remember) bulbs
 
I'd say at least 100 actual watts per plant once they start getting bigger, so like 12 of you "100w" bulbs, since they're actually like 23-26w a piece....And I like the ratio of 3:1 6500k/3000k
 
Because they need to build up nice big leaves, and that's gonna be harder with less 6500 k bulbs...if that's the concern, start with more 6500 k bulbs and add more flowering bulbs once pistols show, like dc4 suggested.
 
What do you mean 3:1 ratio 6500k/3000k? The bulbs are the really long cfl's with 4 arching bulbs coming out of the ballast... They say 100watt each...
 
they look pretty cool, u can get quite a few dual spectrum bulbs now, they dont list the lumen output but its really inconsequential as thats the measurement we see, u could probably run 2 of those and get good results. they take an e27 socket as well so dont go buying a GES socket for em, they are self ballasted as well so dont go buying a ballast or you'll kill em lol
 
they arent 1000w they are 12 x 23w saying it will replace a 1000w hid. bull crap. cfl's are good for small indoor grows. you would get much better results if you were using a 1000w hps/mh through a grow than with 270w of cfl's the light intensity is much greater in the hid hence further penetration and denser nug's. nice find though but someone else linked them on ebay a few weeks ago, they are very misleading.
 
its the fact they advertise them at 1400w/1200w/1000w. its misleading to all the newbs out there (myself included). makes people spends loads of money on something that isnt as great as its supposed to be. naughty naughty.
 
The only beneficial part about them is that they're cooler and use less electricity. Decent choice for a budget grow though

I beg to differ. I use these units and I've been growing sizable quality dank a** crops with CFL's for almost 4 years with success. At least success for me. I average 3 - 5 Oz per plant using dirt in 10 gallon pots using ebb flow trays. Oh and I use Cutting Edge's complete line of nutrients. The 1400 watt equivalent does replace a 1000 w hps unit, but not the or 1000 or 1200w units. CFL's in equivalent wattage are at about 80% of hps when using the 23w/100w units. For instance 10 23w/100w cfls are rated at 1000 watts or 1600 USABLE (to plants) lumen and that's the key...USABLE lumen output. A 1000w hps bulb will produce (when brand new) from 150k -160k in TOTAL lumen and around 20k in USABLE lumen. HPS lights waste approximately 87% of their total lumen as its completely useless to MJ plants. Natural sunlight falls under 20k lumen. Meanwhile the 1400w units give you a clean USABLE 22,400 lumen. That is more than the 1000w HPS unit. This is a video up to week 4 using the 2000's its not my setup, but I built it for him using these lights. The box grow yielded just over 8 1/2 oz from 4 plants in 2 gallon drip hydro pots after a three week veg from clone.
