you definitely look like a pro girl. i would show some indo in dis thread if i wasn't so shame of my plants complared to yours lol. great job! i like to trim fan/bigger leaves green meaning right before chopping the plant down, then keep as much of the sugar leaves on then hang plant upside down whole, or by branch, then when plants dry/can bend stem and it snaps, about 7-12 days or so depending on weather, then trim off the rest of the bud leaves up close to the bud and save that either to make hash or butter. i bet you cant wait to smoke that goodnes, looks good from behind this screen. aloha

I prefer to trim everything while it's wet, fan leaves, sugar leaves, and all. then hang them up after I finished with the trim. much easier to trim wet and you end up with a much better looking product. I throw away the fan leafs and keep the sugar leaves for whatever I plan on making with them, whether it be butter, hash, oil, etc. pretty much the same as in the tutorial that fdd posted

awww so nice for you to say... but... I already saw ur stuff and... they are gorgeous. I have 2 AK's that hated that last strength of FF nutes like WHOA! BURNT! weird tho, all clones, and only two or three (the weakest). The others are beeeeg and pretty, (I am prejudice, of course! :)) And you can post em up in he'a anytime!
I cannot wait to smoke it too, ur right.

 Aloha Fellow RIPer's and welcome~

Just wanted to update a lil since it has been a while. This is a kinda boring time (in an exciting anticipatory way) bc there's not much to do but make sure everyone is happy and fed which, for the most part, they are.

Gave first feed of Cha Ching @ 50% a few days ago and my buds look like someone set a lil firecrack'a off inside each of them and they are bursting... but in a good way! It could be the additive or perhaps just the time in their cycle to add some weight. Next week I will try a lil higher "%'age" since it will be my indicas last chance to eat so to speak.

As soon as I feed one thing I refill my rez (not hydro) with @ 18 Gallons of RO water and begin my "Tea"; Its the lighter version of what FF schedule is + 75% cal/mag. & PH'd to 6.5.
I let that sucker brew for atleast a day or two or three.

Swt Dreams says 8 wks to finish and I will stop feeds @ 10-14 days from then. (Thursday or Friday).
AK-47 says 8-9 weeks so I still have time to feed a little lighter (bc they are lighter feeders than the others). So about another week and a half.
SoDiesel says 10 weeks so really I have another two weeks for feeds. (these gals are "chunky"!)

My biggest concern for the day was if I should stake them up or not (that's a great day! :)). So I did a few and willl do more as I go.

They seem fine so far. How'd I do my first time?

Sour Diesel

dbl header.JPG This is the burnt AK-47 and is doing much mo bettah now after her brush with my FF overdose nute schedule.

What's up with the double header? Cool right? (watch someone chime in and say they do that right before they... don't even say it! lol) don't do it! ha ha

Mahalo for checkin it out!~

Awwwww... mahalo for dat one Hh. You know I'm learning still all da time. Gonna grow out another round of these 3 strains (and 4 others i think) and see if i can do mo bettah. It's day 43 for me today so I'mma feed my indica one more time (in a few days), and stop feeds @ 10 days for her bc she was a slow grower @ first due to the soil being too hot (my bad...).

IMHO I don't think anything inside can compare to the full on Hawaiian sunshine outdoors. You know da way suppose to be, yeah?

I hate no more smoke and no more $$$. Never mind tho, right? You got 'em now!! :)

honestly girl, i have a very difficult time finding outdoor that taste as good as the indoor. i used to think that outdo would kill indo, but i am no longer fooled, and having control over everything indo makes it easier to get great tasting buds. to get it to go good outdoors is much more difficult. the tastes are different. i prefer the indoor on most strains, but some strains are better tasting fromt eh outdoor. just my 2 cents girl :) aloha

 Aloha RIPa's~

I realized something as I was looking through my gj, I have no pics up of my indica~Sweet dreams. Mostly due to their geographic proximity in my tent. So... as I was 'STAKING' up my ladies a couple'a days ago I took a few to put in here.

When they were small lil clones I put them into FF (red-bag) soil, 1.) bc they were outta OF, and 2.) bc the guy at the store said it was a "better soil then OF". That may be true but it also has higher concentrations of guano and some other stuff and it burned them so...

They didn't have the best of beginnings and I'm sure when they get nute burned that their growth is stunted somehow. But I have to admit, the buds on these LOOK GORGEOUS and are hard as rocks! seriously... compared to my AK's and Sour D's these buds are hard hard hard... NICE one, yeah?

Anyway... I start my flush for them in about 3-4 days:

I am gonna give one final Chi Ching in a couple of days and then just give 'A.N.-Final Phase' for the remainder of their short lil lives. This stuff looks 'killa-crip' and I am gonna do everything to make sure it has the sweet taste it was meant to have!

Thank you Simon D~ My hygrometers have arrived and are waiting calibration and of course CHOP-day!

3.) These are the newest to the clan:

2 Heavy Duty Fruity
2 DarkStar (thanks Attitude for the free beans (2HDF & 2DS) I got with my SATORI order!)
4 BC Blueberry

S7300652.JPGS7300653.JPGS7300654.JPG

On a side note I will say that they seem to be loving the Earth Juice and guano-teas.:-P They are very healthy looking. Could be that I have gotten a lil better at growing too... maybe.

aloha~

Aloha RIP'ahs~

I didn't want to start a thread in "Harvesting and Curing", just need a lil advice if you please.

I am @ day 49 of flowering my indica = approx. 53-56 days. Medicinal qualities are (among others) as an anagesic & for insomnia. I had planned on waiting for 20-30% amber, however, I just finished reading subcools "Amber-Alert" (again) in which he very definately does not advise indica dominant strains (ids) to have ANY amber, whatsoever... infact for ids' he says,

" When growing Indica hybrids, unless you want to end up on the couch, it’s best to harvest when the trichome heads are fully formed but before they start to cloud over and turn amber."

Ok well...
That was prolly last week. What's ur thoughts on this?
(I'm getting my wardrobe boxes ready tonight, just in case)

I know I have some clear trichomes in there somewhere but as of today they look like a full-on cloudy. Not a lil milky, but cloudy with no amber best as I can tell. I am trying not to get bummed at the thought that I waited too long (insert ridiculouly long and severe string of cus words, of ur choosing. My
words are NSFW right now).

Mahalo~

I think I will take two tomorrow and see how the ohers progress in the coming days.

No... I'm not gonna do anything on day 50.
The one thing that growing has taught me is patience (roflmao)~
It's taught me to NOT rush into stuff in a panic; when I get "stuck" on something and don't know what to do it's best to just chill a bit, and do nothing for the moment.

Many a crop/plant has been lost due to haste. I always feel like I am on the verge of making a mortal mj mistake and I awoke with this same feeling.
I'mma let her go to @ 53-56 days, bc its fine with me if the smoke kicks my ass to bed... was my intention with her all along (and fit in one more "flush" just for the taste of it!).

I could use some "LOW STRESS TRAINING" myself today~

aloha~

i have the least patience, especially when i am out and have to buy, as i smoke a lot. my motto is any day after 50 lol depending on how much weed i have at the time :D with seeds i let them go a little longer, i am almost on day 61 and they look killer, just more yellowin than i am used to. the rule of thumb is 8 weeks/56 days and most indicas should pretty much be pau. im sure you will be happy with the wait. i am chonging on some of the outdoor and it is not nearly as good as the indo, but i must say i pay much more attention to the indo. aloha girl, happy harvesting :)
