Do i need an exhaust?

I was wondering do I need an exhaust while using co2 EXHALE bags? I want to create a sealed grow without having a exhaust or intake. IS this possible? Thanks, - Brendan
 
You'll still want air exchange to reduce heat and get rid of the oxygen that would build up. If you can find a way to deal with those without fresh air then maybe it'll work?
 
You should, plants need constant air flow, plus the heat would build up, if not the room would get stagnant and the plant could die.
 
lol's ordenery things like oil become explosive in oxygen rich environments... and when you add the co2 it will ether pressurise , expand or vent you're room anyway
 
so If i definetly need it then how is a sealed grow room possible. I'm looking to have a small underground space built from pallets I have gotten for free. I figure build the box(room) from pallets then completely sealed with plastic material to keep water out. Then run a electrical cord underground for the cfl's and dehumidifier and timers for co2 . Look my problem is, I dont and wont grow if i am exhaust hot air out in the open. Even if a helicopter doesnt find it or wont find it, I will always be paranoid. I want a grow where I dont have to worry about going to jail everytime I hear a helicopter. Any advice?

Install HVAC zone dampers(google it) that are spring loaded. Then install an inline fan to one end of the dampers with a timer and do an air exchange at the beginning of your light cycle. that way you can avoid a heat signiture because your lights haven't heated the room up at that point. then you run on co2 for the rest of the light cycle with your room sealed cuz the zones dampers will have closed off the airflow. and i'm assuming you have some type of way to cool the room while its sealed. yes? split system a/c maybe? also I would add a charcoal and hepa filter to this setup to avoid smell leaking anywhere and to keep pest and pollen out too.
 
No it wont work, plants live on CO2 ,it would be like putting you in a sealed plastic bag and asking if youll be ok.
 
thanks guys.:-o Im not going to go and do all that. ahhh...when o when will it finally be legal...or at least not acted upon. I pray for the day when I can grow plants in my front yard and not have to worry about going to jail because of their law founded from corruption. At least they havent outlawed vegatable gardens yet!:-P. Theres nothing better than consuming what you have grown yourself. To me it means not having to depend on anyone but yourself and being truly self sufficient. IM young and struggling with this world today. I wish there wasn't any corruption. I wish everyone had enough to eat. I wish we were free to do as we please as long as it doesnt cause harm to anyone. I wish the founding fathers were alive to see what is going on today. Oh lord, when will things be okay?
 
I alos like to think outside the box. Most of the time I find a problem or more hassle than its worth but thinking outside the box is how great ideas are made.

Sealed grows are possible, but they are usually very costly and you need to do a LOT of research in order to do them correctly. If you only want one because of helicopters, I would say it's completely unnecessary and as long as you aren't rocking like 10,000 watts or something crazy, you have nothing to worry about.:weed:
 
Yeah, but I cannot grow inside the house. I do have 3 plants outsdoors hidden in my garden by my winter squash, grape tomatos, eggplant, tomatos. I have 1 pineapple express, 1 white widowxbig bud, and 1 northern lightsx big bud. 2 are starting to show female hairs which is great. my first outdoor grow. not the greatest soil, but i water with advanced nutes from my last indoor grow. I saw white bugs, only one but I know it wasnt supposed to be there. I sprayed with soapy water mix. no signs of bugs now. Oh and they are LST. I pray they come out good
