DENVER (AP) — Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan says the federal government shouldn't interfere with states that have legalized medical marijuana.

The Wisconsin congressman tells KRDO-TV in Colorado Springs that he personally doesn't approve of medical marijuana laws. But he says that states should have the right to choose whether to legalize the drug for medical purposes.

That's all well and good. But if mittens gets elected then it's mittens who make marijuana policy, not Ryan. Have you looked up mittens' stance on medical marijuana?

It's a vote getter/loser so they will say what they think will get them the "popular" vote. Problem is it's about 50/50 now and in some states it's closer to 60/40 ProMMJ. So why are we having such a hard time getting this all legalized?

Because there are some very wealthy and very powerful people in that 40%.

To be fair you should put obamas policy in the sig

not enough room. obama is smart enough to actually articulate, unlike he-who-wears-magic-underwear-and-baptizes-anne-frank.

"In terms of legalization of drugs, I think, the battle, the war on drugs has been an utter failure and I think we need to rethink and decriminalize our marijuana laws"

“My attitude is if the science and doctors suggest that the best palliative care, the best way to relief pain and suffering is through medical marijuana, then that’s something I’m open to and because there’s no difference between that and morphine when it comes to just giving people relief from pain. But I want to do it under strict guidelines.”
