my first take on this: fake. satire. has to be.
when i learned it was real, i thought "no way is this going to get legs".
and now all i can say is, well fuck. i kinda wish we delivered him the death blow.
chances are slim that he can still recover, but now the expectations on the first debate are sky high for romney. that is bad for romney.
if he doesn't scorch obama in the first debate, if it's just a mere draw as these things tend to be, goodnight romney.
even the righties on this board have to admit that they would prefer anyone but that guy.

which is why they usually call them a draw.
romney has to deliver some type of line equivalent to "i will not hold my opponent's youth and inexperience against him".
i would love to see that, because i follow politics for the same reason many follow nascar. i love to see the fiery crash or the unexpected pass.

I don't get it , what did he say that we didn't already know about him. Everyone knows that's who Romney is implicitly so why is it such a big deal now that he said it explicitly.?

didn't work in 2008, not sure why the GOP is sticking with this strategy in 2012.
all they had to do was sit back, shut up, and keep the focus off romney to win.
the paul ryan pick and subsequent romney missteps have made that impossible.
this may be a referendum on romney now, when the reverse would have been an easy romney win.

It's almost nice to finally hear him say what many of us think people like him believe, and that's that he doesn't care about poor/working-poor people, he doesn't care about social programs and all he cares about it money and the bottom line. I'm actually a little relieved. I'm tired of being called paranoid or racist, or 'unwilling to take responsibility' or 'blaming other people for my problems'. There it is, in living color.
