Answer my questions.
Suck my dick...

You are the one with a problem. You see disabled people as completely unable to care for themselves, work for a living etc. I see people who happen to be disabled.

Some might argue but it seems Carabineer's brain and fingers work just fine.

Somehow you feel that he could not possibly work yet dont appear to realize that he spends a shitload of time typing and debating on the internet. When questioned about why he doesnt have a job his primary reason is that he would have to work too hard for the pay he wants... That isnt disabled that is selfish, lazy and on the dole...

I'm not cb, I don't comment on shit I know nothing about. Who the hell are you to make any sort of judgments about ANYONE, let alone someone you've never met. You know nothing of his circumstances so shut your fucking mouth about it.

Coward.

If one is disabled, their disability determines what work they can do right?
I am not sure where you are going with the question.

Disabled is a blanket statement covering a vast amount of impairments and degrees thereof. Padwan seems to think if you are classified as disabled you are incapable of any work whatsoever.

In this discussion I am specifically targeting carabineer who has demonstrated sufficient cognitive ability and computer operation to qualify for a job. It appears the reason he isnt working is that the pay isnt high enough and he gets tired alot. Sounds like most College kids I know...

Does that qualify as disabled to you?

HEHEHEHE!!!

Hey, some people are too disabled to work, and I completely understand that. However, in this thread Carabineer came straight out and said that he would have to work *sweat shop* hours to earn decent money... That isnt someone who is willing to work and just happens to be disabled.

To CB: Dont worry buddy, I understand. The government has told you that you are a victim so long that you bought their line and since it is sooooo much easier just to sit on your ass in front of the computer all day and bitch about the rich not paying enough that you cant help yourself...

Ok. i see what you're saying.

In the end, if disabled, i will do all i can to support myself. i have been offered disability due to my Fibro, arthritis, and GI issues. i've refused it. By God, if i can work for my money, i will.

i drew UI for almost 3 years. The first two were less than 1/3 of my previous wages. BUT, now that i'm working 45-50 hours a week and got a 45 cent raise today (everyone at our warehouse got it), i will bring home just a cunt-hair more than when drawing my full UI. The only incentive for me to work is my own ethics.

That being said, since i paid into the system for 20 years without drawing from it, i felt entitled to it.

From an observers standpoint, half of you are talking about people who abuse the system and collect aid even though they don't need it or could find employment at the drop of a hat, and the other half is talking about the elderly, disabled, and those types of people who actually do need it.

How it's gotten to 26 pages with the exact same theme is retarded.

First group of people, that's not who the second group of people are talking about. Second group of people, that's not who the first group of people are talking about. From this point on, it would benefit both groups to construct any arguments with that info in mind.

Make up all the lies you want, buddy. I know what I said. What you read is due to your own intellectual shortcomings.

Coward, liar, all around asshole and a troll.

No man with any moral integrity would even think the bullshit you espouse. You are a coward. I pity anyone who knows you.

Pad got caught red handed lying out his ass, now he's pissed off at me for exposing him!
Fucking twerp.

Still dismissing the age question, 5th fucking time I've asked you. Says a lot!

Your inability to read and comprehend doesn't mean anything other than you're an idiot.

What percentage of your paycheck went to UI? Lets say it was 1%.. I seriously doubt it but the math is the same. The average worker works 200 days a year. At 1% that means you literally *pay* for 2 days of UI per year * 1/3 = 6 days?

So you worked 20 years without drawing from it which would pay for 120 days of UI paid INTO the system. 120/5 = 24 weeks of unemployment. So, you paid for a little less than 6 months unemployment in total over those 20 years.

And then you went on 18 months of unemployment because you felt entitled. Which is 3 times what you paid into the system...

Social security is the same way... It was based on people living only a few years after they were retired. Now with people living longer the benefits that are paid out are 5-10 times more than are put in and the government is not investing or growing the money, they just spend it into a hole.

This is why we are 16 trillion dollars in debt and if we dont change attitudes and our actions the entire system will crash sooner rather than later.

Yeah, see, we have different viewpoints on this. i am TIGHT with my old boss. He's babysat my son. i'm attending his wedding Saturday. He attended my second wedding. i'm working for him tomorrow (start in 6 1/2 hours). While the percentage of MY paycheck that goes to UI is insignificant, HIS contributions were VERY substantial. And he, as a sensible owner would do, figured that into my pay. Had he not paid so much i would've received it in compensation. i guarantee that. i wouldn't have gotten the same amount he would've saved, he's gonna take his cut as he should. But i would've been cash up.

So, you're numbers do not accurately reflect what i contributed to my UI imo.

You are spinning my sweatshop remark into undiscovered country, aren't you? Like I said, i hope you never have to explore disability. I could once work long and hard, and I was proud of it.
Guess what? That is no longer the case.
Yes, I have the privilege of being able to compare potential pay from a job against the benefits I currently receive. But as I intimated before, you do not know my situation or condition. It's just too convenient for you to assume that Arbeit macht frei. So why would it be inappropriate or somehow an indicator of turpitude if I compare what i would get with what I do get? I also noticed that you were entirely too filled with your glee over my spurious entrapment to answer my questions. How much per hour and how many available hours did that job provide? cn
