Anyone ever use a hermaphrodite as a father plant? eg Using pollen from a female which grew male parts, to pollinate a pure female unrelated plant?
If so, how did it turn out for you next generation?, m/f ratio wise and otherwise?

yes, people do this all of the time.. this is kind of how fem'ed seeds are made.. only they don't take a plant that will hermie from stress, rather they use a chem to force a female plant to grow male flowers.. they then take the pollen from said male flowers and use it on another female plant, creating fem'ed seeds..
using a chem to make a plant create male flowers won't go onto to the offspring as it's not a true hermie as it only formed male flowers as the result of the introduction of a chemical, like cs for one..
if you use a plant that hermied on it's own then the hermie trait will also be present in it's offsprings.. now what you want..

and yes, male plants can hermie and form pistils, aka, female sex organs.. this is said to be the way that rockster of kaliman seeds created his exodus cheese fem'ed seeds.. plenty of other people had tried to make a female turn male and had no success, but rockster is said to have had a male plant go female, which is how he's the only one to fem seeds of the og exodus cheese clone only..

sounds kinda suspicious one person was able to do it and noone els that tried had success...... I seriously question if it ever happened.
