You read this nonsense? This bill will most likely pass, and I'm thinkin about moving to Vermont. I've never sold so much as a stem to anyone, but growing 25 plants would make me a trafficker. I grow it for a medical problem and I would easily qualify for a card on your coast, but this legislature bill Marijuana Grow House Eradication ActMarijuana Grow House Eradication Act is insane. Its design is to go after operations that sell the plants and make them available to children. Well I don't sell it and I can say 100% my herbs don't go to children. But 25 plants which is 75 plants less than the Federal limit is just so wrong.

Florida doesn't care that the people want less harsh penalties than they are, and now this craziness. I'm not growing at the moment and not growing anything until I'm out of this crazy state on the wrong coast.
I may even head west. Thinking about all this is annoying

I may go eat a brownie thinking about this dumb ass Fl. bill has me now depressed

EDIT UPDATE:I just ate two brownies. Maybe I should take Florida to court for upsetting my mental well being in their creation of the dumbest laws on the books out of all 52 states.

Wow that is one of the stupidest bill i have ever seen created.... I hope it does not pass and i am not even a Florida resident. I feel for ya man, If i was in any other state i dont know what i would do, honestly the risk is so big for all our RIU members outside a "sane" state. But, Nothing is going to change without all of us doing are part in making law makers and government officials aware that we want the laws changed, and we need strength in numbers to get this point across.

Honestly i really never the federal government changing their stance of marijuana as a schedule I drug, it would under mind so many actions and laws passed by the federal government it would make them look retarded. But State governments are a totally different story, if we can get all 50 states in the union to regulate their marijuana laws and not have the Feds involved, i think that is the best the U.S. will ever get. This should be on the minds of every marijuana smoker/grower that is of legal age to vote, You have the power the make a difference, it takes all of us banding together much like this community, to make a difference.

It's crazy, stop posting more about it, or I'll be forced to eat more brownies, but seriously, when I grow, not even my closest friends know. The only time they know is when its all chopped down, roots and all plant matter besides buds are long gone. I then dry them, then store them in a very secure off site spot, where its always 70*

Then my close friends share the fruits of the forbidden plant. The way things are going here in Florida, they'll have the death penalty Bill for 50 plants next.

Any grower in Fl is a moron if they have loose lips in this situation, especially when they start putting people in the pokey for a 1st degree trafficking felony for having 25 clones and what not.

Good question, and the truth is, compared to many other drugs it's not. Like any other drug that has an effect on brain chemistry, there is the chance that it will have undesirable side-effects but considering it is essentially impossible to overdose on and particularly when smoking it, the user can judge the effects almost immediately, it is pretty safe. Many unbiased studies have shown it to be extremely effective in treating a lot of ailments with a much lower risk and higher efficacy than other drugs intended to treat the same.

For everyone who has contributed to this thread with sentiments along the lines on "if that was my girlfriend I'd kick her in the teeth/make her drink fertilizer/give her a smack" etc. maybe you should consider how such a response would add to the alarmist propoganda circulated by anti-drug advocates and allow them to claim that mj is such a dangerous drug to begin with.

The use of violence in such a situation would most likely increase the chance the girl would snitch on you, and if you did injure her, if an investigation of the incident revealed that mj was involved, this would be fantastic for those people who like to claim that mj is dangerous. What better propoganda for them to spread the stereotype of the dangerous and violent mj user, than to refer to an incident in which a grower was so incensed by the damage to his plants that he resorted to violence? Next thing you know, this story would be getting used to drum up support to enact harsher penalties and more enforcement against small growers and no doubt those people who are now all saying smack the bitch up would be the first to complain about this.

To anyone who feels their plants are so important to them that they really would be prepared to resort to violence, maybe this should give you cause to think about how growing is affecting you as a person. At the end of the day, the reason you love your plants so much is because you're hoping they will produce usable drugs and when it comes time to harvest them, your love for them doesn't stop you from hacking them to pieces in order to get the finished product.
