Water Temp????????????

I am trying my hand at aeroponic cloning, my problem is the water temp. I have my submersible pump in the bottom of the bucket, but the pump running 24/7 is making the water temp 95 degrees. I just started the cloner about 8 hrs ago. i woke up this morning and I felt the outside of the bucket was warm so I checked the temp and 95 degrees. So I put a 15 min timer on the pump. My question is......... Is 95 degrees to hot for cloning and if so will the timer do the trick to get it the right temp. THANKS GUYS.

Are my clones already ruined from sitting in 95 degree water spray for 8 hrs? Please say no............LOL....

I just dont understand? Everyone says to leave your pump running 24/7. If that be the case then surely Im not the only person with this problem. Or am I?

It helps to use an air pump/air stone pulling cool air in from outisde the container. High temps=no roots, and soft mushy stems. Once that happens, they're done.

there is no need for an air pump or stone in an aero cloner.K.I.S.S. just put a timer on the pump. what size pump are you using? can you add more water?

530 GPH.. I have the water at the bottom of the pvc, so no I cant add anymore water. I put a timer on the cloner but its the only timer I could find and its a 15 min timer. I have it set for 15 on and 15 off. Is this ok? I just checked the temp and it is down to 90 degrees now. So it is dropping since I put the timer on.

I just started a buch of clones in one of my trays and just for snickers I plopped them into rockwool put them in the net pots, set timer 15 on 15 off and great roots within 5-8 days. I have never tried eze cloner but may build one this week as I am going to need a pile in a few weeks. BTW I did have air going at time, not sure if it needed to be.

thats a big pump for a cloner. i use a 396gph in a 25 site and a 70 site cloner. the 15/15 is better than constant on, get a recycle timer when you can.

Its a small 13 site cloner I purchased on Ebay 4 gal it came with everything so I assumed thats the way it was supposed to be. I will definitely check into the recycle timer.

One more question: If my water is staying at 82 to 84 degrees is this OK if I get some kind of algae care for the warm water?

depends on how many sprayers. i say 396 at the most. i use 633 and 1056 in veg and flower units. as for temp, thats still pretty high. i would dump it and start fresh on the timer and see.

 So I am trying something weird but it made a little sence to me. LOL. Anyway I put an air pump outside (48 degrees) with two airlines into the bucket and two 5" airstones. I figured if my water is staying at 84 degrees and I pump in 48 degree air then my water should atleast drop to 75 or so???????

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was not such a good idea. I was pumping in more air than could actually escape. So when the water pump was on it was forcing out water at the top. That's hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!
