top buds not as full as bottom buds

this is my sativa day 40 flower. top buds nowhere near as full as bottom. its even throwing single finger leaves like a reveg at top but thats not possible. there is no way for light to get to it. first pic is of the bottom bud of the sativa next 3 are the tops. last pic is one of the top buds on my big girl think its finally getting over what was wrong. so whats going on with the sativa ive never seen that

Yeah she looks awesome...mine are budding like crazy ill post some pics tonight...I'm gonna get way more than I ever expected to yeild...I'd say I'm on track to get an oz a plant....what's ur guess on urs?

I think ur only problems are from the cfls and not u as a grower, u arnt achieving the penetration u want even though u have many cfls the penetration distance of each is small. Still ur doing good and have healthy plants and im sure you will get good yeild. You still going for hid for your next grow? i highly recomend it, il show u some recent pics of mine later if u want as im sure itl sway ur decision to hid. Peace bro

yeah still going hid and cfl is doing fine got some light to the bottom now

big one is just bag seed the sativa was a clone not sure what it is the person that gave it to me couldnt remember it was there last one of that kind

so why is the sativa like that is it normal just dosent make sense the lower buds are more full than any of the tops

Its perfectly normal, happens on every of my grows, even outdoor (sun penetrates well, doesn't it?), if you don't train the plant, the bottom buds will need more time to develop.
You have two options - either lst it in veg, or let the bottom buds go longer than the top ones.

did lots of lst in veg and its the top buds that will need more time bottom buds are way further along look at the pics first pic is bottom bud other 3 are the top bud

The lower bud sites are most likely leeching the most nutes as they are fed up the stem. Cos the plant is lst'd the lower branches end up stronger than a non lst plant, and in most cases thicker, so able to pull more nutes to the lower sites. But before I get flammed for being wrong, that is just my thinking of it.

I think she's just a real strong sativa dom... The bud structure is diff on them from top to bottom. The tops tend to get real stretchy and long til they fill in late in flower... That's why it takes sativas so long to finish.. Looks like she's just going thru a growth spurt, then that will slow down and she'll do it again, again and again for prob bout 12 to 14 wks..
Glad our girl is straightening up..
