[h=1]Reps. Ron Paul, Barney Frank Ask Obama To Respect Pot Legalization Laws[/h]

Reps. Ron Paul (R-Texas) and Barney Frank (D-Mass.) are asking the White House to respect the voters of Colorado and Washington, who decided that recreational marijuana use should be legal.
In a letter sent to President Obama, they wrote:
"We have sponsored legislation at the federal level to remove criminal penalties for the use of marijuana because of our belief in individual freedom. We recognize that this has not yet become national policy, but we believe there are many strong reasons for your administration to allow the states of Colorado and Washington to set the policies they believe appropriate in this regard, without the federal government overriding the choices made by the voters of these states.
"Respect for the rights of states to set policies on those matters that primarily affect their own residents argues for federal noninterference in this case, as does respect for the wishes of the voters – again, on matters that primarily affect those in the relevant electorate. Additionally, we believe that scarce federal resources – law enforcement, prosecutorial, judicial, and penal – should not be expended in opposition to the wishes of the voters of Colorado and Washington, given the responsibility of all federal officials to find ways to withhold unwise or unnecessary expenditures."
We are seeing the beginning of our effort!

No matter where you are we need to be Unified in supporting Colorado and Washington State!

God Bless them. I don't understand why Obama does not ask the DEA to reschedule the drug. I do believe he can do so or even order it.

Obama has two States to consider too.
If he does nothing but kick the can down the road it will be good in the long run.

It's important that whoever we elect in 2016 they have to be Pro-Cannabis.

Because he has other priorities. Namely, totalitarianism/authoritarianism/corporatism to the extreme.

Grow your own medicine? That reeks of freedom.

I'm not expecting a major swing to be honest. I'm hoping for small swings our way.
Colorado and Washington State are cinnamon on the legalization hot buttered toast in my opinion.

Great Video .. I watched it.

Is there not a line between medical use a commerce on the Federal level, in the sand no-less? Then again we also have State rights issues..

I'm not sure how this is going to play out. I agree that the President is not the final word on how things go for our current state of Legalization.

We need more Pro-Re-legalization Representatives in the House in 2014.

As for Obama.. I await the outcome of Colorado and Washington. Each of them have Commerce language which I say will not fly but many think has to happen.

so what exactly was the promise? i'm not going to wade through 5 minutes of video because you're too inarticulate to transcribe the promise.

i watched the first minute. he said he supports medical marijuana but not so much growing your own or mom and pop shops because it's hard to regulate.

take your bigoted, christian revisionist fingers, place them on the keyboard, and type for me what promise he made that has you so up in arms.

Well, sooner or later they have to deal with it.

I can only imagine the tangled web the Feds have all over the world with the Drug Trade.. I'm sure our fingers are into drug trade all over the world.

All I can say is no news is good news from the Feds! Lets hope they stay out of it for Washington and Colorado.

or he could spend 30 seconds typing or copy and pasting whatever his point was, and i can spend 12 seconds reading it.
Why so you spend that 4 minutes 48 seconds getting your thumb up your ass? Or putting your wife's dress on? Either way.... Dont lie and tell me your time is important. If it were we would see alot less of you and your stupid ass comments.

I sure wish Bricktop would appear and ass pound you again about your gay tendencies.
