Drying out buds prematurely with Infra-red heat affects how they smoke, not how they look!

I'm the one giving out misinformation when you don't seem to understand the difference between radiated and inducted heat?
Have you any idea whatsoever how much IR HPS's output? If you did you wouldn't be using them 6 inches off the plants tops I can assure you, and no amount of ventilation or oscillating fan or cool tubes or air cooled hoods will stop that IR radiation - it's radiated for gods sake not inducted heat !
While a fan may not effectively reduce all the radiant heat
any co2 in the room will effectively reduce the radiant heat.
In spite of the radiant heat, 18 inches is still way too far away. Radiant heat or not.
Wow this is a nice arguement. I like it.
A fan won't reduce any radiated heat.
Are you going to explain now how exactly using Co2 reduces radiant heat?
No it isn't, it's the correct distance. Jorge Cevantes in his book 'Indoor Marijuana Horticulture' actually recommends 24-36 inches for 600 and 1000w bulbs, are you now going to say he's wrong as well?
Of course co2 will absorb radiant heat, as will the glass installed in your light, assuming that you have one, I know I do.
